Terps played a good first half against Illinois, only to fall apart in the second half. Its about what I think much of this seaosn will look like for my Terps.....one good half and one that looks like shit or at least parts of games that are God-awful.
Today we get ND in the BB&T tournament that most Terp fans hate with a pashion. It gets counted as a "semi-home" game due to being held in DC and typically its a tough opponent with mediocre fan support. The tough game part doesn't apply this year but I doubt tens of thousands of Terp fans show up either.
ND is a seem in similar disarray to the Terps. They've lost alot and haven't found really any identity so far this season. They really haven't beaten anyone any good and have lost to the couple of good teams they did play. They struggle to score and play decent defense. Sounds alot like the Terps....struggle to score big time and play decent D. Our rebounding looked better against the Illini and I do think we will have a slight edge on the boards today. I also think based on post game quotes and other things I have read that Stoglin will have a lot of pressure on him to run the offense and not just look for his shot. We have no other option at point as Faust just isn't a PG. Stoglin will either create for others and we'll have a chnace to win or he will just look primarily for his own points, will go for 35 and we will lose.
Turgeon seems strong-headed and I think Stogs will be forced to conform or he will sit. I think he conforms more, we rebound well and the small crowd we do have will get us the edge we need for a win.
Terps +1 (double play)

Coaching soccer all day but will be back about an hour before tip-off.
I like the way Pankey is playing on the boards and if he could JUST contribute say 8 points a game, we'd be tougher. Faust is a good shooter and at some point will break out of his slump....maybe it all happens today?
