vcu should be a fade today according to my system that i posted yesterday but i will ignore the system as the big dogs in that system were actually the only ones to cover in that spot (2-1 ats).
kansas is hot, but keep in mind that fourth ncaa tournament game is where the problems start for kansas historically. in 2008 they cruised in first three games winning and covering all three and then barely edged davidson and lost ats. in 2007 they were upset by ucla in game #4. in 2004 they were upset in game #4 against georgia tech.
vcu has been a good offensive team all year long but in the tournament they are doing it with defense and that's a big plus for vcu backers here. they are a great postseason team going 11-2 ats in last 13 in ncaa tournament, nit and cbi games. one thing is sure, vcu will not go down in the postseason without putting up a fight. they are 4-0 this season, they went 5-0 in cbi last season, in 2009 they lost by 1 against ucla, in 2008 they lost in the nit by 3 against uab, in 2007 they upset duke and lost in overtime against pittsburgh, in 2004 they lost by 1 against wake forest as a double digit dog. they have a good track record in those postseason games and they are a team to bet on regardless the line, the situation, the betting percentages and so on. 8-0 ats in last 8 dog games in ncaa tournament, cbi or nit. they are no butler but they are very close.

its tempting. i am looking at taking VCU in the first half, thinking they might be able to keep it close for a while, but it gets away from them in the second half.

Trust me I really want to bet on VCU!! I want them to win!! But in good conscience I really can't. Maybe if they had beat Richmond I would be...but nothing really shows me that they will hang here. Kansas will run whatever tempo they decide and own the inside out! gl

kinda tempting to try a middle at the half. what do you guys think
nah, just not confortable laying double digits in college hoops. especially not on a 2nd half bet. i'll just let it ride. good luck to those who bet the 2nd half.
