1st posted play of the year. I usually only post on Colorado teams.
Anyway, we have nice spot here for the NoCo Bears. UNC is still trying to cope with the loss of their head coach Tad Boyle and their leading scorer from last year (will figuers) and Big Sky Defensive player of the year (Yonish Bonner). Denver is also trying to adjust with the loss of their best player from last year, Nate Rohnert. Rohnert was the heart and soul of that team from last year.
UNC is still running the same uptempo play (up a bit from last year), and Devon Bietzel is playing the point much more then he did last year. I think they need the soph, eliiot lyod to take over more the point gaurd duties and let Bietzel do what he does and shoot. UNC added a 6'8 freshman Emmanuel Addo. He has really helped the Bears get second chance shot with his rebounding, along with Tyler Mongermy.
DU is a 1 man show, much like the were last year, expect the points are coming from Chase Hallum and not Rohnert. Hallum is a spot shooter and does not create his own shot very well. Joe Scott still running that boring ass Priceton offense. pass, pass, pass, pass, back cut, pass, back cut, shoot. (No rebound and no second chance shot).
Both teams don't play much defense. UNC has struggled on the road this year and DU is MUCH better at home then on the road Played ILL tough a week a go). Even though this is somewhat of a rival game, Magnus Areana won't even be 50% full. UNC's true rival is Colorado State (even though CSU thinks CU is there rival, and CU thinks Nebraska is their rival, and so on). Anyway, the crowd won't make much of difference and Magnus isn't a tough place to shoot.
UNC is the more experienced team and has more scoring options. UNC doesn't rebound great, but Both teams like to foul, but UNC is a MUCH better FT shooting team and that will be the difference tonight.
(A bit hungover today, so I hope most of that made sense)
UNC 71Denver 63

Yes sir!!!! I think UNC might even get to 75-76, so the over should be good! Lets do it bro!
Forgot to tell you that we are going up to your neck of the woods for Christmas break. We will be up in the Winter Park area next week. Suggestions for places to go?

Nice! You going up to ski or snowboard? Are you staying in the town of WP or close by? The Untamed Steakhouse is pretty cool; good food and live music all the time. The Derailer Bar and The Pub are more of local joints, so you don't get as much of the yuppies. Food isn't that great though. Grand Lake Brewery is like 30 min from WP. I think the main sports bar is called Denos...tons of TV's and good sports atmosphere.

Very bad writeup. Northern Colorado had no chances... In future please be better in choosing your play of the year...
In the future, why don't you STFU. Maybe if you went out on a limb and posted a play or two, rookie, (21 posts since 2007?) ,you'd have some credibility. Until then, maybe you should just try and add something positive to the forum, or just STFU.

Ouch, bad day yesterday. 1-5 overall. Like I said in my write-up, UNC needs to move Bietzel to SG and let Llyod handle the PG duties. Bietzel really struggles at the point. Way too many turnovers and bad decisions.
Working on the UNC v CSU game...hopefully a better outcome.
