Been watching college b-ball for 25 years
since I was a kid
that was the worst one shining moment I've ever heard
why did they keep cutting to that bitch screeching the song?
what a great tourney, and they showed more of her than the highlights
not even one highlight from the epic xavier-kansas state game
awful cbs....just awful....two thumbs down
bring back teddy pendergrass

well luther did a version
but pendergrass did it for years before luther
anyway
they were both WAY better than Jennifer Hudson
she must have had some contract that she gets a percentage of the face time
i was looking forward to reliving the tournament
its always my favorite
but instead we got a couple of basketball shots in a music video
fukin bloody awful

I rarely post but I totally agree.  First off, why have a woman singing the song? Second, why make it a jiving, star search sounding rendition that keeps cutting back to her?  They should just leave it with Luther or Teddy.  Both did a fine job.  This was a disgrace.  I'd rather hear Jim Nantz sing the damn song than that mess.

why did they keep cutting to her?  it was like King Hippo from Tyson's Punchout before he tried to punch you.

so many great games
and they show almost nothing
they showed michigan st. beating maryland
then a bunch of close ups from random games
no feeling for how exciting the last 3 weeks have been
and shot after shot of this broad singing into a microphone in a sound booth
how exciting......fuking pricks at cbs ruined my night
lol

Agreed...so many great games and so many awesome endings and didn't hardly see any of those highlights...disappointing

I want this bitch OUT next year
she just pissed all over a piece of my childhood...the great tradition.....ruined......shit upon.....a disgrace
so many great games....this captured nothing.....just very disappointing

you guys remember years ago how much better it was?
All the great tournament highlights, from round 1 to the final game
They killed it all....like someone in the thread said already....it was like a star search audition video with a FEW bball highlights

I am disgusted

I'm not sure when it stopped, but I remember the NBA had nice closing montages as well to end the finals.  The NCAA tourney seems to be the only one left that still hangs on to this and it has turned into garbage.  I could have edited that piece better.

What happened to nice pieces like this (Bob Seger)?

Damn....1988....done over 20 years ago and SO MUCH better than the crap they just played on CBS.  It's about the EMOTION more than anything.  Never been a Jennifer Hudson fan anyway, but now I HATE HER
