I agree, and I love taking Izzo and co as a dog, ESPECIALLY in the F4. Butler plays tremendous team basketball and they can shoot the lights out when they are "on" from the arc, but I can see MSU showing Butler and their 12 year old head coach "how it's done"... make no mistake, Butler is a great story, and they will have the Indy crowd on their side throughout, but if Morgan shows up again for instance, and MSU stays out of the bonus in the 2ndH, I really believe that we could witness a DD Spartan victory...
NOW... LV making Butler the fav appears to leave the Big Town BEGGING for Michigan State $$$, and in turn, the "sharps" may see a contrarian angle and instead side with the home team in Butler, after all, why make Butler the favorite if they don't have a legit shot at winning? The truth is, Butler has a puncher's chance of emerging victorious, however, if they should go "cold" ie go thru a stretch of 4-5 minutes without scoring a bucket, they will be in big, big trouble imo... still trying to wrap my brain around Butler as a favorite, but perhaps this is just another "story-team" line that Cinderella teams often enjoy (...just think "George Mason", whose run is still fairly fresh in most bettors' minds, although they were underdogs heh heh)... I still expect this game to be a "pick'em" by gametime at any rate, as it probably should be. Should be an awesome game and atmosphere to boot, but given a week to prepare, I believe that Izzo will devise a gameplan for whatever the Bulldogs throw at them, so give me MSU +1 and the MSU ML in this spot with no looking back, and should Butler win, they will have deserved it and will have my utmost respect ultimately.

Ok, so I think I have a better understanding about this game than at any time in my life. Let me explain myself.
I am a huge Michigan State fan, have made huge $$ on them in the tournament, told everyone I could that New Mexico State plus the points was a great bet and then I have taken them as a dog the last three games.
As for my Butler knowledge, my sister and brother-n-law and best friend all attended Butler, I was the smart one and went to Wabash College.
I am heavily involved in Grassroots basketball and have been taking teams to play in Indiana for the past five years, the first team we ever played in Fort Wayne was a team that had Matt Howard, Zach Hahn and Purdue center Jajuan Johnson, we got our asses kicked and the refs had to end the game because the douchebags that I took up there started a fight, so it ends there. So, Matt Howard has been on my radar for five years, and I think I understand his game.
Hayward is the guy that everyone is talking about, but everyone fails to realize that Raymar is one of the better defenders in the country for his size, he can defend a 2,3 or 4, he will be the reason that Hayward doesn't go off, Morgan is that good.
Mack is a great player, but I see Summers, Allen, Thornton and Kebler rotating on him, if you look at what Michigan STate did to Sherron last year in the Sweet 16, it was the same thing, Izzo will run a bunch of guys at him and wear him out.
I have never been so confident, I can't believe we are underdogs, Korie Lucious was a Top 100 prospect coming out of high school, remember he played very well against UCONN last year in the National Semi Final.

I considered the pickem to be a dog, the Maryland game they were 4 point underdogs if I am not mistaken.
The problem this year with Michigan State was that they were pre-season #2 and they were the best team in the country the year before against the spread.
They gave way too many points early in the year, I think they were a 33 point favorite against UT-Arlington, way too many points.

Butler hasnt lost a game since December and they have a unique way of attacking a teams weakness. Do you recall how Harris struggled at times when Goings pressured him up the floor? Well I see the Butler guards in his face all night and at least 20 MSU turnovers.
Butler easy

INSPECT- good for you. You got lucky as Butler couldnt make shit down the stretch. This game was a toss up game and I still think State wins 7 out of 10 times, just not today. I was thinkin about puttin a lot on Butler 2H but didnt. Its fine because come monday night, my Dookies will be celebrating an ass kicking of the damn dogs. and good luck watchin your Sox suck once again this year. LETS GO YANKS
