Personally not on UCONN tonight

Although I agree that tonights game is a must win for UCONN, I just cant jump on the bandwagon with just that info.  Yes they need this win, but in my eyes, the fact that they need it does automatically mean they will get it.  I see some people reference the PITT game as a similarity but I dont see it that way.  PITT has proven they are legit and can beat a top 10 team at home.  UCONN has not proven that and until they do, I'll take the better team.

What I believe to be the most important factor in this must win home game for UCONN is the fact that its not really at home.  I pulled up some stats and an article I read to prove my point...No need to pretend I wrote this article and pass it off as my own

Gampel 10  Hartford 16

Record in those games:

WVU tonight!

The games were against top 25 teams, does it really matter.  They obviously get up for these games at Gampel and not so much at Hartford (considering how dominant they have been at times over the years, surprising to see that they are only 10-6 in big games).

Also I dont know about you but the stat that WVU has never won in Conn makes my play even stronger.  This would be a perfect time to get that win.  Playing a mediocre UCONN team away from there campus. 

At least WVU wins......more than what can be said about uconn 

also, one other interesting tid bit i came across....

The Huskies are 3-8 against teams in the RPI top 50 - but 1-5 against the top 11.  We all know where WVU it sitting these days

Big Papa, Im trying to figure out the misconception of yours that West Virginia is a "terrible late game team"

Of the 9 games this year where WVU played a ranked team or a team who is now ranked...In 7 of them (exception Purdue, second Pitt game) they played better in the second half than they did in the first!

TA&M--down 2 at half, came back and won by 7

Miss--(#21) up 3 at half, won by 10

Cuse--down 1 at halftime, lost by 1

Ohio State--down by 12 at halftime, won by 6!!!!!

Louisville--down by 4 at halftime, won by 3!!!

Pitt (1st game)--up 6 at halftime, won by 19!!!

Nova--down by 11 at halftime, lost by 7

This West Virginia team does not roll over for anyone and play just as well, if not better in the second half.

Just dont ask Jeremy Hazell about that.
