I am shorter than normal on time tonight so I am not going to spend a ton of time on what HAS been in the last few Terp games. Plus it would sound like a broken record.....playing well, sharing the ball, balanced scoring....a solid team that is red hot blowing people out.
Tomorrow we head to Clemson to play a Tiger team that is not playing well of late. It appears Clemson will be without guard Stitt and he has been noticeably missing in their last few poor performances. He's not a sniper type shooter or world beater but he gives them another option outside of Booker. I read tonight that he is "highly doubtful." This will hurt them as they don't have very good shooting outside of about three feet from the rim! Really they don't shoot FTs well, aren't terribly good on the boards like most Clemson teams have been the last 5+ years and they are not a terribly deep team. Booker is very good inside but with that little skinhead nazi Oglesby gone to the Ukraine to play pro ball, they are very limited outside.
The Terps will win the backcourt battle (again), they should have plenty of answers inside and keep the boards even, if not have a slight edge. Clemson will try to slow things down, the Terps will work to trun them over for easy baskets and an uptempo pace. Provided the hot Terp shooting continues, they win this one on the road. They are sharing the ball so well of late that the open shots are plentiful on most trips down the court. The Terps need at least a split on this two game trip to Clemson and FSU so winning Sunday makes FSU less pressure filled. I don't have much more to say except that Maryland is the better team here. I expect them to win this game as they are a more focused team than the last few years. Have to ride with my boys again at Clemson. If they can get out early, this Clemson team is very prone to fold up considering the way they have played of late and missing Stitt. Plus Booker is supposedly recovering from the flu. Either way, his supporting cast will be as shallow as a genetic pool in backwoods West Virginia.
I will stay away from the over as the Terps have dominated the last three games so much that the other team is not contributing what we need out of them. In fact, this could stay under pretty easily.
Play the Terps +5 and a little on the ML!

accventures, awesome read as always. How deep do you think that Maryland can go in the NCAA Tournament? They're starting 5 seems very underrated to me.
I saw 50-1 to win it all here in Vegas. I'm sure I can get better than that. This team just seems to be flying under the radar as they are really gelling right now.
Thanks for all of your hard work.

We need this one ACC...big time. If they play anywhere near the caliber of ball they have been playing we get out of Littlejohn with a W. The players really seem to like each other and Vasquez has backed off his "I have to do it all attitude". We may be for real. We will likely know by 7:30 tomorrow. Scared and anxious for tip off.
Did not know about Stitt being questionable. That can't hurt.

Yes it has been reported at Clemson that he is OUT. They have a week off after this game and I assume they are thinking two full weeks should get him healthy so why chance it. From what I have read, he was having trouble even pushing off on the bad foot, not good news for a guy who likes to penetrate and needs his speed.

I am glad you are on the Terps ACC. I couldn't go against them right now. A very impressive run, but I am a little weary of how they played against a winning teams like gonzaga or cincy and not on their three game run against non-tourney opp. I like that we are a + 5 dawgs, it should be close enough for the Terps to win. +5 in a close game for the terps.

ACC does it bother you that the Terps have struggled against teams that love to get up and down the floor outside of the WISC game? Also I think the books have finally caught on to your boys also. This line wreaks and the books most likely knew Stitt was not playing. I thought this would have opened at a PK with the way the teams are going.

ACC, this information was very helpful. I was looking at taking Maryland tomorrow anyway. This gives me more reason to. Plus, I am a Gary Williams and Maryland fan anyway. They look like they will surprise some people in March!!! Thanks again.

clemson really turns it up on defense at home. can mary beat the press or are they gonna turn it over??? the crowd and clemson thrive on turn overs and when it starts going bad, even the zebras go along for the ride. if mary can't beat the press and limit turn overs, maybe looking at a unc/clem repeat.....
