The severe sprain Fresno State star Paul George suffered in his right ankle Thursday night against Utah State is HUGE .
Fresno's best player is on crutches, and even if he was playing I would STILL pick NEVADA!!
Do not sleep on this. This is an excellent spot for a lopsided wager.
Nevada, Nevada, and Nevada
"I think last night we were just kind of in shock," Cleveland said of losing George, who leads the team in scoring (17.3), rebounding (7.3) and steals (2.6). "He's your best offensive player. He's your best defender. He's your leading rebounder. He does a lot of things for us that allows other people to get easier shots."

While George was on crutches on the sideline, it was the entire Fresno State offense that limped around after that.
The Bulldogs set season lows in points (43) and field-goal shooting (29 percent) while scoring only one field goal in a 13-minute, 8-second span in the second half.
The loss of George for the Bulldogs cannot be understated given how much he has done for FSU in all facets of the game this season. Expect to see Babbitt with an easier route to the basket.
The Bulldogs were completely dominated by Utah State a few nights back, hitting just six field goals in the first half and 14 for the game. The Bulldogs were just 28.6 percent accurate from the floor and 4-of-17 out on the perimeter as Greg Smith tallied a team-best 12 points as the lone double-digit scorer.
There is simply a mismatch due to injury and tonight the Wolfpack win by Double digits.

Last year, Nev LOST by 2 at Fresno...Fresno lost ONE starter, not really anyone tho. Nevada LOST three contributors, or 26 pts. FS lost 9 pts. Paul George had 0 pts (did have 7 rebounds).
And you want everyone on NLV? No, not betting it, but if I did, would be Fresno. How many times have we seen a starter go down and everyone pulls together? I might be wrong, just don't like the situation. Hope you all win!

Sylvester Seay posted seven points and six rebounds, but his 1-of-12 shooting performance was something he needs to forget. Paul George, who was held to three points and played just seven minutes before suffering a right ankle sprain that could keep him out up to three weeks, is listed as the leading scorer for the squad with his 17.0 ppg, and he is also tops on the glass with 7.3 rpg. The loss of George means that Seay (15.9 ppg, 5.8 rpg) and Smith (11.5 ppg, 6.5 rpg) will have to step up their efforts even more in the next few weeks in order to keep the Bulldogs near .500. In six conference games this season George was at the head of the class with his 17.7 ppg, helping the squad to produce 70.3 ppg.
The loss of George for the Bulldogs cannot be understated given how much he has done for FSU in all facets of the game this season. Expect to see Babbitt with an easier route to the basket as he takes his Wolf Pack into the win column once again.
Predicted Outcome: Nevada 75, Fresno State 62

If ever there was a chance for Bulldog forward Sylvester Seay to show his abilities not just as a player, but as a leader, it's now.
The Bulldogs don't just need a guy who can rally the team offensively and defensively on the court, they need a guy to get behind his teammates. As the only senior on the team, Seay needs to do it -- and do it now -- if the Bulldogs are to keep their heads above the WAC waves while leading scorer and rebounder Paul George is out.
