going the other way.....st marys is really tough at home in that tiny gym. I like what I say from their new australian stud last game.

Just researched a little bit and I like Vandy +5 to be honest. St Marys lost 3 of their top scorers from last year, including Patty Mills. They have had a few people step up, but they beat a really bad San Diego St team on t.v. a few nights ago, and that made them look really good. Vandy has a nice core of kids returning that went 19-12 last year in the SEC.

My brother is a Vandy grad so I follow them pretty closely.  Vandy has a very impressive Aussie of its own...AJ Ogilvy is one of the more impressive big men in the country and the other 7'0 footer Ezeli is pretty good too.  I gotta believe Vandy has the better athletes with Jermaine "dolla" Beal.  Youngsters Brad Tinsley and Jeffrey Taylor were both highly recruited and can ball.  I'm going to lean Vandy here, but the long trip cross country scares me, and Vandy could get caught looking ahead to the Hawaii trip next week. Vandy relies heavily on the three ball and if they are jet lagged, it could get ugly. I do believe Vandy will be a sleeper team this year though, so keep an eye on them as the season progresses.  Kevin Stallings is one of the best, yes you heard me, best coaches in the country.  He gets the absolute most out of his players

Mitch I totally agree with you. He was coach at Illy St when I went to school there. He's the only one to produce back to back valley championships, both regular season and conference tournament. He's done a fine job with Vandy in a difficult conference. I'm gonna make a small play on them tonight, nothing huge.
