Back to the grind -- anyone else have the NCAA Full Court package from ESPN? I love it, I get to watch random ass games that only total degenerates like me care about. I was flipping between games last night and my wife goes "why are you watching Texas Tech and Northwestern State?" I was truthful when I said it was "information gathering purposes."
You know you have a great woman when, for your birthday, she gets you NBA League Pass and NCAAB Full Court Press. I told her that she should never expect her husband to get off the couch on the weekends as a result.
Oh yeah, I'm really pissed that we aren't getting a line for the CSUB/UCLA game. I called 5Dimes to see if one would be put up but they said no. Has anyone seen a line on this game anywhere? If you do, please let me know what the line is and what book is offering it.
To today's card, just leans for right now, will lock in final plays later:
1. Toledo +30.5 -- bense covered this well in his discussion thread about the game. This will be the biggest game on Toledo's schedule, and if we are going to get a good effort from them on any game, it should be this one. Thirty is a ton of points, and if Toledo were playing, say, UNC or Louisville, then perhaps I'd hesitate about getting this many points cause those two squads (more importantly, their coaches) have zero qualms about running the score up. Izzo doesn't do that. My only concern is that MSU's bench might be good enough to extend a 20 point lead when they come in to 35 or so. Either way, MSU has to completely dominate this game for 40 minutes to cover this number. Too many variables to want to lay the chalk here. Late 3 to cover? It's possible.
2. Dayton +6 -- Dayton is an impressive squad with a great win over a talented but young Georgia Tech team. Given Nova's terrible playing last game, I don't know if they can get a comfortable win over an experienced, disciplined squad.
3. Cornell -4 -- The Ivy League looks like it is gonna surprise people this year, with Cornell leading the way.
Will add more leans/thoughts later and lock in plays accordingly, just want to get this out there.

jtele -- only play the games you feel comfortable with, tailing someone is a recipe for disaster. The fact that I've started hot could also mean that I'm due for a bit of a losing streak as I regress back to the mean.
UNC -- thanks for stopping in
poboy -- what's up man, long time no see. Hope you have a good CBB season this year

Gollum -- Izzo isn't the type of coach to run the score up, especially with another game a mere 36 hours later, right? I mean he seems to me like a coach who will empty his bench, rest his starters, and just run clock on offense to get out of there as quickly as possible once he builds a decent lead. What do you think?

2. Georgia Tech -6 (-107), 2.14 to win 2 -- Combination play in that GT played horrible against Dayton and GMU played over their heads against Villanova. Now that Tech has had some time to reflect on their loss, I expect the superior talent down low to win out. I'd be highly surprised if Tech shot as poorly from the line as they did against Dayton.
