WENT 5-4 YESTERDAY
What i am going to do is just run the TOP CAPPER THREAD as much easier to control. The TOP CAPPERS all know who they are and if your intrested i would appreciate you posting your final card here each day.
To anyone intrested if helping out please feel free to chime in,
 
THE ONLY reason for this consenses thread is to assist others in confirming their plays,
 
Understand,they have hot and cold streaks but if your plays match theres then possibly that adds merit to your selections
 
We were doing very well and i see no reason to stop a WINNING approach,

You do realize that some of your top cappers are .500 on the year. I'm not bashing because .500 is not terrible, but do those that are following your plays know that some of the plays they are following are by people who are capping at a coin toss rate?

dj....why don't you get off it???  You had the same type of comments yesterday about your little conspiracy theory on one capper following another and nobody's picks really being "their" picks.  People use this site as a tool.  No one puts a gun to anybodys head and says to tail them because they are on fire.  Yes, some cappers are at 50% so far this year, but how does that concern you?  These picks are free.....so as far as I am concerned the only time you get to complain about something is if you paid for that something.

HEY DJ, NOT SURE IF YOU ARE AWARE BUT THER BEST CAPPERS IN THE COUNTRY ONLY HIT 60-65% AT BEST. ITS NOT THE PERCENTAGE THEIR HITTING IT'S IF THEY CAN HIT THEIR BIG PLAYS THAT MAKES THEM SUCCESFUL!!!!

I'm asking a very simple and logical question. This is a consensus thread. If I am going to follow the consensus plays, I want to know what type of cappers I am following and what assurances I have that they are individual plays.

djbrow......Have you ever seen Tommy Boy?  You know the part when chris farley and david spade are trying to sell their auto parts and tommy goes into that long rant about if you put a guarantee on the box and it fails....it turns out all you have is a guaranteed piece of shit.  I guess you are like the auto parts owner who needs that warm fuzzy feeling inside.  You need the records posted and the assurance that you are not tailing a capper who is a square.  The truth is that any capper can lie about their record because most people do not take the time to check post history.  The bottom line is that if you want that warm fuzzy feeling inside......CAP THE GAMES YOURSELF!!!!!

I've got an idea. So far this year I'm about 2-50. So I hit winners more than anybody else, they are just the complete opposite of what I play. So I'm going to post my plays and you take the opposite and everyone makes . Well try this today

Why dont you take your questions elsewhere.  This whole week you have been on this thread asking the same questions and stating all the cappers are just tailing each other.  There is no reason for you to be looking for accoutnablility because you stated earlier in the week that you cap your own games, so maybe you should check the mirror bud!!

Thank you for your response. I have not bashed anyone, I have not said that cappers are really following one person. This is a public forum and all I am asking is the following:
 
1) What safeguards do you have in place to protect against a game being considered a consenus play if really it was a matter of one capper following another who was following another, etc.
 
2) How are you classifying top cappers when some of those cappers are .500?
 
When you answer these questions, I will likely consider following these plays....

I was actually curious as well about how one is deemed a "top capper".....I also cap my own games but certainly compare what I like to others who I recognize on both sites

It funny how everyone seems to be looking for these consensus threads to tell them who to bet on.  bob said it best when he stated "this is supposed to confirm your plays" if you need someone to tell you what to do go and pay for your picks.  nobody said we know the winnners.  we are just trying to help with what little we can to try and do for basketball what manifesto did for football and try to see what sort of consensus we can find.  if you can't find any use for these threads then just ignore them.  and it doesn't really matter how the top cappers are hitting right now.  if they are all on one side or the other obviously they've identified enough to make a play.  whatever.
