Duke / Purdue?

The question for me is this:  "Is Purdue better at being Duke than Duke is?"  To me, these are two mirror image teams.  They play very good defense, they are perimeter oriented, they have guys about the same size, they shoot about the same percentages from FT line, 3pt line, and the 2pt area.  The only real difference that I see is that Purdue plays better defense against 3pt shooters than Duke does. 
 
So, this becomes a no play for me on the side, but I will make a small play on the OVER 146 for this game.  I see both teams being able to get into the 70s here.

your out of your mind. purdue is good but duke is excellent, more skilled starters with paulus out of starting lineup. ill take duke as a dog to anyone

First road game for duke And let alone its at Purdue which has been pretty lights on as of this year..

Those are called "neutral" court games - not road games.

Neutral court and road game are the same thing dude. It's away from there home court, they traveled on the road "or via plane for that matter" to get there. The teams played on a neutral court, it was a road game to travel to.

Neutral courts are not the same. You think it was as hostile in MSG as it is gonna be in Mackey Arena?

First off - I am not out of my mind.  Obviously you are a rookie at capping games, and probably go with the "gut" feel on games instead of using the research.  Sometimes that works, but is usually doesnt when one team is the "name" team, and the other team is flying under the radar.  Look at the numbers!! - they are almost identical.  Dont get sucked into the "Duke has better players syndrome" and equate that to winning basketball games.  Duke may have better players if they were playing one on one.  But, they aren't.  You have an unproven young point guard going into a tough place to play.  In Purdue, you have a team trying to prove they belong in the national spotlight; you have a team that has played a tougher than most, early season schedule with BC & Oklahoma, and you have a team that will put a bunch of pressure on Duke. 

So, again - I am not out of mind.  Duke is a good team, I have won money a couple times on them this year.  Purdue is a good team.  Dont think that Duke is a LOCK because they are getting a couple points tonight.  It should be a good game, and I look forward to watching them climb the OVER tonight.

No offense, but how could you call yourself a Duke fan and even think that MSG and Purdue's home court are anything close to the same?  Any Duke fan knows that MSG is their "home away from home" and the only time the crowd is ever against them there is when they play St. John's (and I was there for the Marcus Hatten free throw game where Duke collapsed in the last two minutes). 

I've been to every Duke game @ MSG for the last 5 years now that I am back in NY and I can tell you that the game against S. Illinois was played in front of a half empty MSG.  You could hear a pin drop during that Thursday game and about half the 300 section was empty not to mention the upper seats being completely empty.

Duke has every shot at winning this game and probably will (Singler has been unstoppable, Smith can guard someone, Henderson is as athletic as anyone in the nation and Lance has a career high last game), but to say this isn't their first true road game this year is just inaccurate.

Nobody said that MSG & Mackey are the same thing, Read before you write dude.
 
And MSG is not the home away from home this year, as it is every other year. Travel tickets were not able for purchase this year with travel supplied like it is every other year, so the traveling crew was limited to the people that went through ticketmaster, stud hub etc. Again, write what you know, not what you don't.
 
And you just contridicted yourself in your own post

Duke has more depth, better athletes and superior defense. Look for a defensive minded first half and Duke's big two (singler and henderson) to be the difference.

Was a Pitt crowd last season at MSG, but totally agree on this is first true road game of this season.

The Pitt crowd was louder then Duke last year at MSG 
 
O god i love fans from Pitt.
 
The 100 person section 121 was louder then all of MSG
 
I have youtube videos that would just shut you up, but it's not even worth my time
