no offense to all the federer backers but i said it earlier this month and i repeat he is losing or has lost a step.. i know fish is playing out his ass but the federer of old would have not been beaten much less swept away.. he know longer warrents such large odds. even against Sampres he looked beatable. watch the future #1 in action tommorow Djock he will prevail and right now in my book he is the top mens player in the world..... opinions welcome.

tj.....you clearly know nothing about the game of tennis. fed has just got over mono, and is very happy with a semi-final appearance at indwells. the second rafa lost, fed had no interest in winning the tourney, based solely on rafa not being able to defend his indwells title and therefore will lose 500 pts, and fed has gained points from last yr reaching the semi's cause last yr he lost his first match to canas. give the guy six weeks to get into his groove and we'll see......won't be surprised when he wins miami.

There is no doubt in my mind that Fed didn't care about winning that match. Reminded me of Cincy against Murray. Fed I believe lost his serve 7 times in that match and clearly didn't care. After the match he commented on how the rest would be good for him..
The Fish match was similar...he had lost something like 6 points on 1st serve the whole tourney. And he loses his 1st 3 of the match to get broken. He then had a numerous amount of 2nd serves that he normally eats for breakfast. But he didn't do squat on them and blew numerous 2nd serves that would have given him 15-40 or 30-40. I am not saying Fed is participating in fixed matches but I clearly see a trend of where he doesn't care. I am sure he realized he picked up a bunch of points since he went out 1st round last year. He also avoids getting raped by Nole in the final. He also looks at it as he is saving energy for Miami this week where he can also pick up points with a decent performance.
Fed is no longer free money against anyone...if anything he is a good fade in situations where a loss won't hurt him. And with clay court coming he will be an awesome fade...since he has become an unforced error machine. Imgaine what Rafa would do to Fed in his current form...can you save B-A-G-E-L

I've been wagering on tennis since 03'. In fact the first future bet I ever made was for Fed to win the 03' French Open and he ended up losing to Horna in the 1st rd. (I had alot to learn back then...lol) After that tourney, Fed went on to win 12 of the next 19 slams, so atleast I now know that I was on to something...lol...
Now almost 5 years later, it is clearly obvious to anyone who follows the sport as intently as I do that although he hasn't "lost it" as some might think, he clearly will never dominate again the way he once did...For arguments sake, let's forget about all his "mono induced" losses this year and take a look at last year...How about his back to back losses to Canas? the Fed of old would have won the rematch easily....What about getting smoked by Volandri on clay, or being pushed like he never was before by Rafa at Wimbledon...Djokovic takes him down in Mtrl, and had tons of set points in the US Open final....An almost non existant Nalbandian all year then beats him back to back at the end of the season...and finally, although he wins the Masters Cup, loses to Gonzalez in RR, a player he had never lost to in the past...
This guy is clearly on his way down...Djokovic is the clear # 1 on hardcourts until proven otherwise, and if Djokovic can make a serious dent on clay it is only a matter of time until he is the true # 1 because Rafa is no better then a top 10 player off of clay...
Obviously I can't prove it...but if Federer took down Fish last week as everyone expected, I was ready to lay the house on Djokovic in the final. Djokovic is the future and would have proven that Australia was no fluke...
