Felipe Lopez is maybe my least favorite player on tour... the guy has talent but is one of the biggest chokers on tour. But depsite my anger towards him I have a hard time not taking him tonight.
Alot of people are thinking the marathon match for Isner will impact him... honestly I don't think that it will. Both players play a style of game that leads to quick points... you shouldn't see a ton of long rallies.
John in my opinion is not up to speed yet... he was awful in his 1st round match and honestly wasn't that good versus David either. He has the big serve but he has looked suspect off the ground as his timing doesn't seem to be there yet.
Lopez was routine in two players he should beat easily. Felipe is a player who can also be dominate behind the first serve... but just like Isner is weak on the return.
The two keys to me are 2nd serve return and whether Isner can deal with the Lopez slice. These courts are slower and have more grit meaning the Lopez slice should stay lower. For a man of John's size it can be difficult to stay low on that sort of shot.
Also I think people are overvaluing their one meeting...it was at the end of the year and Lopez had already checked out for the season. I'd be careful
Isner is certainly the stronger player mentally... I just don't like how he is hitting the ball right now and will take Lopez in this spot at + money Lopez +126 for me
