Both teams come in to this one with some serious question marks on defense, especially Arsenal which is never a good thing when facing a dangerous Bayern attack. Arsenal also has some offensive firepower and I think that Wenger will have them ready to play after the surprise loss to Blackburn over the weekend in the FA Cup.

GL Bawlmer respect your opinion but am worried about arsenal scoring tonight they have struggled to find the back of the net and bayern have kept 5 clean sheets in a row.

3 words for you PlayinPlot: Daniel Van Buyten.Maybe that is only two and half words, but if he gets the start today then I think that gives Arsenal a big advantage. In my opinion he just doesn’t match up well with Walcott, Cazorla, and the rest of the Arsenal attack. Not having Jerome Boateng for a game of this magnitude is a big question mark.
I think it’s also important to mention that from my experience how a team is playing in their domestic league rarely carries over to, or has little impact, on how they play in the Champions League. I believe this is true in almost any tournament that a team plays in outside of their domestic league.A perfect example is the FA Cup in England where we have seen Norwich lose to Luton, Liverpool lose to Oldham, and Leeds beat Tottenham.
When I am looking at these games I don’t look too closely at what they have been doing in their domestic leagues.Sure Bayern is 18 points clear in the Bundesligia but that doesn’t always tell the whole story. The fact they have only given up 2 goals in their last 3 really doesn’t mean much to me.For this game I am focusing more on matchups and I think that Bayerns defense could have some problems with Arsenals attack, especially if Van Buyten is in the starting 11.

Good luck whichever way you decide to go
Appreciate the write-up. You could be right, but I just can't see Arsenal "turning up a notch" against one of the best teams in the world. This team has been in disarray for months, what is a matchup against the best team in that span going to do to help that? I just don't see Arsenal having the talent to keep up with Bayern even at home. And btw, it was a typo by me before. It was meant to say Bayern has allowed 2 goals in its last 12 matches (the 2 being a useless friendly). I am on Bayern ML, so hope for a Bayern 2-1 win so we both hit our bets. Good luck to you.

With all due respect bawlmer, does your record of 84-33-3 reflect the wagers you've posted on covers? It seems like you post 2 to 3 wagers at a time, but you only have 15 posts. Thanks.

I just sent you a PM with a link where you can view all the soccer plays I have made this season. I would be skeptical as well and no I have not made all of my selections here at covers. I just started posting here recently. I posted the link on my original thread and thought about posting it in here but I dont know the rules in regards to doing that. If anyone else wants the link I will be happy to send. I have nothing to hide.

Hey Bawlmer, which site do you use to place a wager as such (Both teams to score)? I tried looking to see if either of these two sites offered them for todays CL matchups and didn't find them (Bookmaker & youwager). Thanks Bawl!
