I absolutely love that everyone is taking Mexico. They destroy a bunch of tinpot teams, then struggle in the QF/SF against teams that are better than normal and play on the counter. Everyone says Mexico attack is great and USA defense is weak, which is not true.
Yes Mexico wins the Fwd/Def battle, but that's dependent on the midfield battle as well. Even the Mexican forums point out the US's advantage in the midfield. How will Hernandez get chances if they lose the midfield battle? Needs someone to cut inside and provide service right? The only way Mexico will get inside the USA defense is with slashing runs by Gio Dos Santos, or good long defense-splitting passes by Guardado.
USA is better in the air (or, everyone, inculding the Mexicans, believe that myth) and has a better midfield. They can play the counter all night long if they have to. When did the USA finally break Panama down? On the counter. Bradley -> Adu -> Donovan -> Dempsey, 10 seconds flat.
Anyway, let's talk about the line. The "Chicharito can beat the world by myself" fans have push this towards Mexico's favor, leaving me with an easy pick that is relatively risk free considering this is a final and will probably be a tight affair.

I think it's a 1-1 or 1-0 game, so does Adu or Hernandez create a goal. Really a coin toss IMO, but I still feel better taking Mex to hold up the Cup. The draw at +220 seems very plausible as well. I wouldn't take -.5 on either side.
