In case you haven't heard, there is a 1 million dollar reward for this former lapd cop who got fired because he blew the whistle on his own department and now he's out on the run to kill all lapd (los angeles police department).
I had a chance to read his manifesto a few days ago and thought to myself this guy is intelligent and had a very very strong case for himself against corruption. Everything pretty much got washed out as soon as he let it be known that he was going to kill all of those officers involved against him throughout, including the aftermath of the court proceedings. It's just very unfortunate his mind wandered off in the wrong direction because lets say he manages to blow up the entire lapd offices, when the new offices get built, new corruption will still exist.
It's like bin laden getting killed in pakistan that time, does it really matter? I say it like that because i imagine that for every bin laden that is killed, there is another "bin laden" that replaces him that can be 10 times as dangerous on top of not knowing who this person really is. Al Queda will be a lot smarter in not letting the world know who their real leaders are. Not saying that all cops or lapd are all corrupted but there is a way to deal with life. No matter where you go there's always going to be negativity and you just can't sequester all the "bums" on an island.
To me Christopher Dorner tried to fight the system the minute he fought for his case in the courts, how could he possibly think that he could win? Why would a police officer kick a mentally retarded man 3 separate times and then lie about it? What were the circumstances leading up to the mentally retarded man getting kicked? First of all there is no excuse for law enforcement to be kicking anyone but obviously it happens. It's about realizing that corruption does exist and if you want to try and fight it, please do so but by force and execution? Dorner has not done the right things in that regard. What about what happened with egypt and mubarak being brought down? Wasn't facebook or social media one of the tools that helped him get out of there? I'm not sure if the lapd can be affected by any kind of movement through facebook but i respect egypt on how they went about getting their freedom. Just cause mubarak was known to use corruption that caused him not to be popular doesn't mean that corruption during his ouster wasn't used against him either. When abraham lincoln wanted to end slavery, do you think that he didn't use corruption? Just cause slavery is looked upon as a negative thing nowadays is besides the point.
Last but not least, dorner stated that he's taking down the whole department because they know all this corruption exists but they do nothing about it. Sorry but each and every party involved has their own case as to why they decide not to be a whistle blower. Why should their families suffer? There are bad apples in a lot of nice families as it is.
