This argument is always made.

People who are pro 2nd amendment (which I am) will always say if someone wants to kill someone else they will find a way.

This article is scary

I know movies like The Stand and Twelve Monkeys are fiction but if a guy was crazy enough and had accessibility to some dangerous virus this would be hard to combat.

If I'm a disturbed psycho and I cannot gain access to a gun, Will that stop me from going into my kitchen and picking up the biggest knife available and using it to kill someone???

u'd kill a lil man or girl maybe, but 40% of the trannys  and 80% of males would beat u up with their fist and or shear willpower.

there was an incident when a crazed man committed the first murder in irvine california in over 10 years. he used a samurai sword and chopp'd up a person or two in a supermarket. irvine is a law abiding city that has few guns per capita/ educated people who use their heads and fist to solve problems.

vigilantes would have crowbars and leadpipes. the police would still have pistols and have the edge.

even if u took all the guns off the streets their would be a major revolt!!!!!!!!

it would never happen because guns are pretty awesome to have around in case an invading country like mexico or canada wanted to nail us silly.

the law wouldnt be in effect because it would be in the courts indefinitely for 20 years. a complete limbo.

Good question...very tough to answer. Opinions are not facts so I just don't know.

Would do more harm than good.

1)  People love guns, and if you put them in prison for owning a gun, when they get out they'll be hardened criminals and gang members.

2)  Police always arrive too late.  The only thing that can stop a gun rampage is a trained citizen with a concealed firearm.

3)  Contraband is very prevalent in this country, so it is a pipe dream to think you can confiscate all the guns

Does making certain drugs illegal prevent their use?

If you made the penalty 10 years in jail if you got caught with one, mabye.  But that's never going to happen.

In other words, if you want to kill people, there are multiple ways of doing it.  I actually get it.

It would create the biggest weapons black market in the history of mankind and nothing in homes or on the streets would be registered. Imagine the level of crime if that were to happen...

Absolutely Rickey. Just like it is now with marijuana and alcohol when Prohibition was in effect.

No. If you wanted to get a gun you would still be able to. So, it only makes it slightly harder to get a gun, but doesnt solve anything.

Any luck and Obama Hussama Insane will continue with this blathering nonsense until November and Romney will pants him at the goal line. Normalcy may be restored in this country soon.

Kickin, exactly. this would induce chaos, disaster and fubar of epic proportions..

Oblama is still using the word Ässault"rifle.  Geeezus - it's not an assault rifle.

How did outlawing alcohol work out?

How is outlawing drugs working out?

Also there are already about as many guns in America as there are people so good luck enforcing a ban.

james holmes didnt want people to gather in a movie theatre, because he possibly found out they were going to release a biological agent thru the movie cinema system that would be deadly in a matter of days (of course in his deranged mind)

james holmes is the agent carrying a deadly virus, thus he is spitting in the faces of all the guards that give him food at his cell

yes that movie u are quoting is good.

Has there ever been a massacre of innocent people at a gun club?

Far as I'm concerned the strong issue is politely asking the CCL holder  to carry more often.

Be interesting to see what I assume is a gigantic spike on a poll to see how many of them are strapped constantly after this turd shot up a movie theatre. Colorado is heavily armed right about now by the citizens my assumption.

911.  darn that, handle it.

The outrage would be so intense...half of the country would go apeshit. And like many have already said, there are already so many freakin guns out there... I don't know though, it's just a guess. I honestly think is a uphill/losing battle regardless. Just like the war on drugs, everyone knows how that debacle is going. Cheers fellas

Even lil Aurora PD admitted that their 4 minute response time was incredible.  4 minutes is quick but that's 40 people. 4 seconds and I'll sell my guns.
