#1 Posted: 5/11/2012 6:59:42 PM Hey guys, I have been in Vegas the last few days and finally got back this morning. My brother and I took the red eye over night home from Vegas....which is some thing I would never recommend haha. But it probably has something to do with only sleeping minimal amounts for 4 days straight. Needless to say, I am exhausted.
But anyway, for the trip in general I didn't fare too well overall but my losses weren't anything I can't recover from lol but I am still pissed I didn't win anything.
But I did actually win a seat in to the WSOP one of the $1,000 buy in tournaments I was just messing around one night playing 50 cent-$1 NLHE at Bills Gambling Hall and ended up turning quad queens with a 7 kicker. Both hole cards had to play...they were actually giving away 2 seats for the top 2 hands of the day (just some random promotion) my hand held up and there you have it, a seat in the WSOP.
So I guess I will be going back to Vegas in June or July, I get to pick which tourney I want to play in (any 1 of the 5 1k NLHE tourneys). Just pissed because since I lost cash on this last trip, it means I gotta grind it out at work and save as much cash as possible to pay for airfare and lodging
I could be a total cheap behind and not take advantage of this to save a few bucks...but at the same time, I think it would be pretty crazy to pass up this opportunity. Last year the winners of those tourneys won between 400k-650k obviously I would be a total longshot but seems like a once in a life time chances that would be tough to pass up.
Whatcha think fellas? |

#3 Posted: 5/11/2012 7:12:31 PM Awesome man! You pretty much HAVE to go play in the touney. You may lose a few hundred backs on the return trip, but that beats saying "man, I should have just went and played". Somebodies gotta win....it could be you! |

#5 Posted: 5/11/2012 7:16:12 PM Congrats AD. Train is cometely right. Better to go and, at worst, lose a few bucks and gain an experience. Who knows what might happen in the tourney. |

Yeah, across the street from Caesars Palace but between Bally's and The Flamingo....kind of a smaller, run down joint but nothing terrible IMO.
Thanks a bunch fellas...so consensus is I should go huh? Bite the bullet and throw down like 700-900 bucks on expenses? I guess that really isn't a ton of money lol |

Lmao..."quad girl" I hope you are right Goose. Man I would gladly be down for some people to sponsor it and gladly split prize $$$ accordingly if I actually did cash....if anyone is seriously interested in doing this let me know. I would document things appropriately and would be very interested in something like this if the situation was right and right people were involved
It's funny because whenever I found out I won I seriously considered selling my seat...just because it didn't seem feasible to come back. But the more I think about it, going back wouldn't be totally ridiculous. |
