#14 Posted: 3/12/2012 5:46:49 PM Google it. It is in Huntsville, Alabama.....yeah same idea. When I was in the 5th grade in Houston some big wig ponied up a ton of dough and paid for every 5th grader to go to Space Camp. It was pretty cool, especially for a 5th grader. |

When I was in 7th grade I went to space camp I was told to bring a pair of swimming trunks so I showered in those... It was for that thing you build underwater to simulate the astronaut training...
I thought the gyroscopic thing was overrated, and the simulated moon gravity would have been cooler if the staff wasnt holding on to it...
great experience... met kids from all over the country... It was the first time that I learned that time limited relationships with females are sometimes the least complicated and best remembered...
It was also my first real exposure to people from the south and remember everyone being friendly... When I was at the nashville airport on the way to huntsville I dropped $50 (alot for a 7th grader, and my emergency cash for the trip)... and this african american man was yelling at me... "Sir!" and I was like who is he talking to? then he started walking over to me and I got a little scared and he was like "Sir!"... "You dropped your money" and handed the cash to me...
The teacher/chaperone told me over and over through out the trip that what happened was not typical for that situation and that it was a one in a million chance luck... perhaps what he was saying was true or not, but after hearing it a dozen times it got annoying

#22 Posted: 3/13/2012 10:15:13 AM 6 1/2 days when I was locked up. I was on this cell block that wasnt even supposed to hold prisoners but the jail was so crowded that they put us in some old block in the basement and there were roaches in the 2 showers. Finally got on a normal block and showered mid way through the 6th day.
