Whitlock is as black and as racist as they get.  He is also an obese, fat piece of garbage who is only able to date fat insecure white women.

definitely not RACIST-hyper sensitive-wow, I guess you won't say it's nippy outside when it hits 50 in the Fall either, huh?

Let it go, bro. And FYI-some garbage is mainly true and I can take it in my group.

Depends on which forum he said it in, who the Mod was, and if he/she were part of the clique.

With the garbage that gets said around here and gets a blind eye turned to it by the all-caucasian Mod 'police force', clearly not.

Isn't this the same guy that accused VOGUE magazine of being racist for portraying LeBron as King Kong on one of their covers?

Racism is a real monkey!

And his accusation that if you don't like USA basketball then you are a racist.  http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=whitlock/040826

He reminds me alot of Anthony Weiner, hold EVERYBODY else accountable for what they say but NEVER accept accountability for what you say.

The Asian American Journalists Association is rightfully furious but unlike Whitlock, they do not seek to have anybody lose their job. They just would like an apology, which Mr.Whitlock has no intention of providing. He won't even delete his tweet, which leads me to wonder if he is having trouble handling the fact that the hottest star in the NBA right now isn't a black man.

Too bad there is no Asian Al Sharpton, to make people aware of the outrage that should be felt over such an insensitive comment.

Big AL would have this guy canned by Monday. No questions asked. Unless he is black than we will just let it go and move on to something else. If he is white, start cleaning out your desk buddy, because there is no room for any type of racial/ethnic comedy from the evil whiteman in today's society.

I actually thought that it was a funny line. But when you beat the racist drum like Jason does, then you can't say things like that without losing all credibility as a serious journalist.

You'll never get more of a sense of who is an horse's behind shitting truckloads of misinformation and ignorance than when you here a middle-aged, middle-class caucasian male use the words "Al Sharpton" and "Jesse Jackson" when it comes to anything concerning a race related issues and blacks.

It's like a blind man in need of his walking cane to get around. Without that support, they are aimless and clueless.

P.S. It happens on covers almost hourly.

I've noticed a lot of black folk have been getting very worried with the current wave of non black NBA stars Lol

Plus Dirk Nowitzki won the NBA Championship last year over a beloved black NBA star lead team last year, So i understand why they're resorting to racist comments because the only sport they dominate is slowly being taken over by people of other races and they're worried, That's all it is.

Plus black folk have a history of this sort of behaviour, It's ok for them to play Golf and be good at it but It's not ok when a guy or Asian is good at b ball, It's ok when they date White/Asian/Latin women all they're doing is tasting different cuisines but If a White man dates there women he is disturbed, racist, harbouring sexual thoughts of making that woman his slave like his ancestors used to.

Who is this exactly? A stereotypical comment about an asian man's manhood now translates into 'black folk' 'getting worried' about the 'current wave of non-black NBA stars'?

You do know the wave of European players you speak of has been occurring since 1998 (with a hell of a lot of other Euro's)? Right? Maybe not.

Where was the uproar you speak of when Yao Ming was dominating a position that the black center was the cornerstone of for decades. There was of course, little to nothing said in these alleged black circles of 'black folk.' And how are you in these circles anyhow?

Only now, Whitlock and his idiotic tweet speak for a wide swath of nameless, faceless black men who you feel are scared because a PG position, which employs .0000000001% of the population of the most elite talent known to man, is now unavailable to those of their race?

Wow. I've heard a lot of bullshit before but this takes a lot of that cake.

Get a clue. Seriously.

Funny you mentioned this. I live in Houston, and listen to sports talk radio. I would say about 90% of black callers would trash Yao saying he is not good, etc. They kept trying to compare him to Olajuwon, but how many players can you compare him to? Yao was not beloved amongst the black community in Houston.

I highly doubt the average Asian is going to be very upset about this. Unlike some, they have more important things to worry about in life. Like being a successful race, for starters.

Oh this is interesting.

So back in 2002, you were sitting in your car or at your computer taking notes, mental or actual, profiling a sufficient sample set of callers for their ethnicity (how exactly did you determine they were black? Let's let the racist stereotypes roll about how improper English was used or as whites LOVE to throw out as their inside joke: Ebonics was spoken), and now ten years later, you can recall those figures and relay to the forum that "90%" of black callers (who you profiled as black), trashed Yao, ONLY because he was Asian. This must be the case because from a white perspective, if you are black and have an opinion of any kind, it is race related (this despite his opinion in post #21 is, just that, race related).

This flies in the face of the fact Hakeem was the greatest Houston Rocket of all-time and one the greatest centers and PLAYERS to ever grace a basketball court. No, it is highly unusual for a native 'Houstonite', black or white, to think that he might have been better than what Yao would be (and ultimately fell short of in truth).

Now if you don't think whites don't have a secret obsession with race you are fooling yourself, because this guy is digging up stats from 10 years ago about Asian centers, black centers, and the race of local radio station callers, and he's probably as white as they come.

Keep that in mind when a white guy says "I don't care what race you are, I'll judge you by what you've done" because deep down, they probably damn well do, as this guy has just proven for himself.

A successful race.......Wow. Can you define that for me???? Who leads the pack of successful races?? Tell the forum please. We all want to know! And as far as I knew, Asians suffer a hell of a lot of racism as the hands of whites in this country as statistics reveal (income and employment etc.).

Keep your accolades to a minimum.

I doubt anyone would be upset about this, Asian or not.

The 'size of your manhood' joke is thrown around grammar school playgrounds and is one of the most unoriginal insults you could use against another male.

Asians are an extremely successful race when compared to the race you're constantly championing  and/or defending. What proof would you like? Average IQ results? Crime statistics? Incarceration percentages? Average income? Life expectancy? I could go on all day but there are none so blind as those who only choose to see black.

Asian-Americans ... hell "enter any prefix here"-Americans are far more successful than your pet race and always will be. One of the reasons is because when they are faced with racism, they don't cry about it and expect a handout to make it all better. They simply work harder. And succeed. Maybe that comes from generally having stronger family units, another area your pet race fails in.

Ask anyone (blacks included) which race they would rather have as neighbors and see what the answer is. That will tell you all you need to know.

Now go ahead and call me racist. Yawn.
