What Im saying is kind of hard to explain... but you either know what I am talking about or you don't.
A run with such unbelievably horrific luck that you wondered if you were cursed... or if there was some kind of demonic presence, something supernatural.
Someone I know has had this happen to them recently. It is pretty much about as bad as you can possibly imagine. It is really hard to believe that anyones luck could be this bad. The most recent one was he had the Clippers +4 as the final leg of his parlay and Griffin decided to foul Gasol with 1 second left with them down by 4. They didnt even have any timeouts. And Im telling you, this is one of the easier beats of the last couple weeks.
Do curses exist?

Damn! I feel for you/him. I don't know about demons but I believe in bad stretches of luck. It just get worse like quicksand. Just gotta take a break, breathe then get back at it when ready.

Man, I really wish I could better explain this because it is truly beyond disturbing.
Strange bounces, balls going halfway down through the hoop and jumping out.
LOL I know to some it may sound like I am just describing the NBA but I am telling you I can feel it in my bones and in the pit of my stomach. Something is very wrong. The hair on the back of the neck is standing up as I type this.
My friend said he was considering going to see a priest, I swear on my life those were his exact words. We arent even religious.
I understand how this must sound to someone who has not seen what we have seen. But the odds of this randomly happening to someone without any kind of intervention or "supernatural" force if you will has got to me 1 in the billions.
He could take the biggest favorite on the board tomorrow on the ML and you can bet your ass they will go down in a nail biter in a bizarre finish with even the announcers yelling and shaking their hands wondering what just happened.
This whole thing has honestly given me an entirely new outlook on life.

I hear u. I wonder sometimes when crazy things happen(against my favor) if their are darker forces at work. But u have to remember, millions of people r affected in so many different ways for those same situations(good and bad). Sometimes u just have a bad run

I understand what you are saying, but when I say this whole thing has given me a totally new outlook on life, I mean just that.
Starts to make you realize the world is not what it appears to be,
Im telling you, what I have seen cannot be possible.

The worst day I remember is college football this year. It was an overall bad day but the topper was the Maryland/NC State game. Maryland was up something like 42-10 and they were getting points on top of that. Not only did they lose SU but NC State came back and covered.

Dude, you are talking one bad beat.
Imagine that happening to you 17 times in a row. What you just described, 17 times in a row.
AND NO I AM NOT EXAGGERATING.
What would you think then guy?

Dude it is literally more realistic to get struck by lighting 5 times in one day, win the lottery and then die in a plane crash than it is to lose 17 straight games like the Maryland / Nc st game.
I am very interested to hear those games if that is the case.
I have run so bad in poker before that I have questioned certain things, but there is no jinx.
Take a few weeks off and regroup

I honestly have considered this with me as well. I swear sometimes I thought someone should hire me as a cooler like Baldwin did Macy in "The Cooler."
To be honest, I have questioned it being God many of times. I am a Christian and a follower of Christ with Gambling being my greatest downfall/sin. Not out of control but serious enough and I shouldn't be doing it. There have been at least 100 times I've looked to the heavens to say. "thanks bud, thanks you very much!" after yet another total mosse/blowjob! I don't know if it is a test, a vendetta to prove something against me, all in my head, etc. I assume it is all in my head and I'm not crazy enough to be watching games thinking God or christ is effecting the the outcome but question is he effecting me and who I'm choosing and such. I know it sounds crazy but it is only because when you hit runs as bad as I have (like what you are talking about) you really question things. Especially knowing this is my worst sin being a christian guy. Don't know just using my two cents.
It's kinda funny, you show me a guy that wins bets often and you let me tail him and I will show you a new loser! lol.

Maybe it's not a demonic presence that's making him lose all of these games in such dramatic fashion. Perhaps it's something/someone with better intentions trying to discourage him from wasting his time and life on gambling.

yeah for sure chris. That's what I thought too with my experience. I was never thinking it was to hurt me but to make me see what I'm doing and maybe hit rock bottom.

Sorry about your bad streak. But no such thing as "curses." It's just not great handicapping I'm afraid to say. But just keeping it real.
I half agree with you and I'm sure Dogunder will agree with me here. Yes sometimes it is bad capping and sometimes it's getting fucked every way imaginable!! For example like the one he gave last night with the clips. What was the bad capping there? Clips winning ALL game then blow it a bit at the end but get the push until Griffin does something you NEVER see. You do, but 1-500 games. Or how about the GS shit the other night? Is that bad capping when GS is rolling MEM by 20 for a good part of the game? I agree with you that if it is just a regualr loss and you should just take it like a man and say yes "I fucked up with capping" but then there and the ones that make you say WTF! When you get 10 mooses in 20 games it really makes you question!

losing 17 in a row to the effect of being up 42-10 plus a few touchdowns or whatever it was in the maryland game 17 in a row to me is the equivalent to getting rejected 100 times by the hottest women that you can think of on the planet. What can you do when you keep getting rejected over and over time and time again? What can you do when you keep losing over and over again like that? Are you telling me that if you had 5 consecutive losing years you would take the same approach, i don't think so. Either you get out of betting on games altogether, fall victim to betting on sports like a drug addict who doesn't have any control over how much of that stuff gets put into his/her body, or you re-evaluate yourself on what happened during the 17 game losers, or why you had a bad year/years. It's like hitting on women after the 20th time, not very many people take the same approach, it's more feasible to take a different approach to try and get laid, what man gives up trying to get laid? Everyone has their ups and downs, a 17 game losing streak like you mentioned might not be as bad as someone like floyd mayweather who lost 2 in a row betting $500,000 each time. Are you betting 1 unit at a time during that 17 game losing streak? If some big time bettor put all their eggs in one basket over a period of 2 games let alone 17 games, maybe that is a lesson they need to learn in life. Do what you can to get back on your feet, re-evaluate what you've been doing, change things up or get out of the game completely before it becomes a drug where you don't even remember how many losses in a row you've had, at least for now you can remember 17 in a row. After all, how hard is it to keep a high-maintenanced pretty girl one by your side, keep her interested for as long as you can let alone bang one for free on any given night? I would say if you were up 42-10, winning outright, you got a spread of a field goal or more, you've lost 4 in a row already, by the 5th time, you are buying on the other side to give yourself a middle opportunity. And if you don't have a book that allows you to do that, then more research away from the actual game is going to have to do. Talking to other people about better books out there, etc.
