My quest to become a Pro Handicapper

Well a little history of myself.  I am a  30 year old male from Toronto.  I am a father of two little boys and mostly enjoy NCAA football and basketball. I used to be a bookie for a while but got tired of seeing my friends getting ruined and me making a living off of it.  So I decided I rather help them then hurt them.  For the past two seasons of NCAA football I have personally given picks to about 25 friends who ride my picks.  I usually give 3-4 picks weekly ATS.  For the previous  seasons I have average 70-72% but I know anyone can say this without it documented.  So far this year I am 18 for 23, 78.3%.  So my mission is to try to get into a reputable sports book offering my picks.  This is my mission and everyweek in this forum I will post my top 3 picks and if there are extra games I like they will get posted as well.  Hopefully if I continue to run well I will get a following on here and some attention.  I rather be on this side helping everyone else get the books then on the other end.  I will also submit NFL picks for the remainder of the season. 

I welcome any feedback or critism along the way.  And happy winnings to everyone.

I wish you luck. Do what you say and post winners at a high percentage and your following and opportunity will come. Your picks HAVE to be documented for people to believe you. Just as you said, anyone can claim percentages.

But I must inform you that in the long run after accumulating numerous upon numerous of wagers your winning pct. will gradually dip towards the 50% winning pct. region.

With a small sample of bets, numerous gamblers could have a very high winning pct. but as I said with the accumulation over a long period of time the winning pct. gradually falls to the 50% region.

A person could be 16 of 20 in their last 20 plays which equates to a 80% winning pct. however if you look at their overall record they might be 200 of 400 which equates to a 50% winning pct.

It is called the LAW OF AVERAGES and everyone is effected by it in the long run.

Not often I agree with you john, but this is spot on.

Here are my weekends picks but I am moving this thread as I got an identical one in the college football forum as well.  That will be the primary one.

Here are my picks for this weekend.  More picks will come up and I will post them also I like lots of first half bets as well. 

Friday - Hawaii -3 first half  1 unit

Saturday - Mississippi State +3  1 unit

Saturday - Clemson -7.5 1 unit

Saturday - SMU -3.5 1 unit

Saturday - oklahoma state -7  1 unit
