#1 Posted: 4/20/2011 8:10:38 PM What do you call someone that makes a bet and then doesn't pay up?
As gamblers we have all been through having someone make a bet, and if they win are willing to collect what ever is coming to them... But when they lose, they refuse to honor the bet...
maybe they disappear for a while, and then try to pretend like it never happened... but in the end Im trying to remember what this type of person is called in our world of gamblers....
The word "Welsh" come to mind, but I think that is kinda of derogatory against a type of people and I don't want the "RichardA/Scal" race trolls making this their issue... This thread is for gamblers....
Anyone know some good gambler lingo for names that we call this type of person?

I think of deabeat parents when I hear that... but I guess if someone "fathered" the bet and making a claim he should man up and take care of the bet if he loses..
a bit of a stretch tho...

#24 Posted: 4/22/2011 2:11:10 AM Even though I am repeating the above, I like these to describe a person who is dumb enough to bet on credit and decides that they do not want to fulfill their obligation to pay:
Welcher (They should have a full, unopened can of Welch's grape juice shoved up their rectum)
Deadbeat (If they end up dead, I would not waste any tears on them)
Stiff (They deserve to be stiff when buried 6 feet under)
Reneger (As InternetTuffGuy inferred, Scalabrine thinks this is being called black again) |
