Can a girl and guy be best friends??

And when I ask that,I don&#x27;t mean the married couples who are also best friends etc&#xD;&#xA;Can a girl have a bf he loves but best friends with a guy?Or same for the guy.You can say gender shouldn&#x27;t really have much of a bearing on friendship,that you ve seen great examples etc.&#xD;&#xA;To me,there is always an underlying motive or sexual tension that can be revealed.both can have that motive or one of them.&#xD;&#xA;They can be if:&#xD;&#xA;1)One is great looking and other looks like an elephant&#xD;&#xA;2)If one of them are gay/lesbian.&#xD;&#xA;3) Girls have guy friends. Guys have girls they haven&#x27;t slept with, yet&#xD;&#xA;If you believe such thing,would you let your girlfriend go have dinner and watch movie in her guy friend&#x27;s place that she calls best friend?

Straight Guys are ALWAYS in in for the prospect of spontaneous sex. Assign whatever title you want to the pair (friends, buddies, pen pals etc.)

Girls who have 'guy friends', love the company of these guys because it is an ego boost. It affirms to some degree they are 'hot' (at least to him and he is usually somewhat good-looking). They know exactly what the guy wants and won't get. It's a fiendish little cat and mouse game for them to torture him with.

That's why you always see 5 guys hanging with one hot girl when they are teenagers (the older you get, the intensely lamer this gets). All the guys want nothing more than to sleep with her and would degrade themselves to even travel in wolf packs to do it.

a guy with a girl as a best friend is rare... but the guy cannot be attracted to her or he has a girlfriend of his own. there is no way a guy can be a friend with a girl he is attracted to because his feelings always would get in the way of their friendship and his intentions.

&#xD;&#xA;Exactly.  I was best friends at work with a girl 10 years younger then me for about 2 years.  She had a boyfriend and I waited for my chance.  I went out with her for a while and now  it&#x27;s done.  We are still friends but it&#x27;s not like it was before our intimate time together.  I totally agree.  She has lots of guy friends and that&#x27;s what broke us up along with other dumb games that 23 year olds play.  So I do agree with the turtle quote.

And why would it not be possible for a guy and a girl to be best pals? I have one. She's good-looking and so am I. Never was any sexual tension between us. I've let her vet my previous girlfriends/flings, and she's done the same with me, with her ex-bf's. Whenever people ask why we never ended up together, we almost end up with an expression of disgust, like it was incest to even think of it. Having known each other since childhood, it was like having an extra sibling, and we never ever crossed the line with regards to propriety. Those who are saying it's impossible obviously have very little control over their loins.
