I hate seeing threads on here where people claim a player has a certain side because he dropped a pass, took a sack, fumbled twice in a quarter, etc. Strange things happen when wagering on sports and sometimes its hard to explain, but to believe a game is fixed every weekend is completely asinine.

 

I don't know how others feel about this topic, but I'd like to hear it. For a professional football game (especially the Superbowl because I've seen claims like that previously) to be fixed, there has to be a lot of people involved. I just don't understand how something like that would be possible and no one (authorities especially) would ever get involved.

I had Philly. Was I that upset? No. When it all comes down to it, all of these guys are "professionals" (I agree that JaMarcus is borderline) but on any given day, anyone can beat anyone. Oakland winning a game isn't proof of a fix.

yOy - People were claiming Reggie Wayne had the under last week when he dropped the pass in the end zone in the 4th quarter when the Colts settled for the FG.

I'm not saying crazy things don't happen, because they do. But for professional games to be fixed week after weeks is ridiculous. If you honestly thing that, you should stop wagering because you're falling into "their trap" (whoever they are) and wasting your money.

I actually have the Falcons -4 tonight. If they lose, I'm going to understand they didn't cover and move on to next week; not claim that the refs had a certain side based on their calls late in the fourth. Maybe after years of wagering, you will feel the same way and not think so ridiculously.

I'm unrealistic simply due to the fact that I have a difference of opinion than you? I don't understand.
