Broadway joe...your trying trying to argue stupidity with logic. Everyone is pissed off that Ohio State is #1 and they "havent played anyone" yet...well it looks like the polls are giving them respect--and thats all that matters. It seems the polls, coaches, and ap voters all recognize that it is supremely difficult to go undefeated for an entire season, so the Buckeyes are at the top since they look like the best of the undefeateds. Respect, if you ask me.
I would rather this scenario every year and watch SEC fans talk about how awesome their conference is year in and year out but never get anyone to the championship game since they keep beating eachother up in conf. play every year. Sure, a one loss team will get there every so often, but let them beat eachother up. They'll have some of the most incredible one and two loss football teams NEVER get to the dance. It's comical! I mean this is stand-up routine funny.
People can talk all they want about how this is a creampuff schedule this year for the Buckeyes, but I love it!! THey may not run the table, but if they do, its a guaranteed spot in the title game. AGAIN. More cash for the school, more national recognition, more recruits, playes get laid more than ever, the list goes on!!
Your arguement is right on nabout everyones non-conference schedule...but the rest works out just the way we like it to. No respect for the Big-10 this year? Looks like one team is getting plenty of it.
