If Ohio State makes the BCS....

They will get rocked......I can think of 4 or 5 teams of the top of my head in the SEC that would just slaughter them like last year in the BCS title game where they got killed. I really need to see a rematch between Florida and LSU to find out who the best team in the nation is....
 
P.S. dont think im some SEC homer....my team is Notre Dame. Needless to say I have alot of free time on my hands this season.

Notre Dame eh? After their start this season, it figures you would jump on the SEC bandwagon (regardless of what you want us to think). You want a rematch of LSU/FLA? How about the SEC Championship, when FLA receives their 3rd loss......yeah, real worthy.
 
Everyone goes back to Jan 8th when OSU got their asses kicked, WE ALL SAW IT. That's no reason for fans/media to not let the season play out and see what OSU really has (PSU/Mich/ILL/Wisc). If they win out against these teams, should they still get snubbed?
 
I'm not trying to bite your head off my friend, it's just crazy when there are 20+ topics about how OSU shouldn't be in the same breath as LSU and FLA......The SEC is good, we know this, but their not........well....as great as the media/fans portray them to be.

blah blah blah. . .Love that all of the OSU haters are coming out of the woodwork when they have a #1 ranking.  I guarantee you could put some of the SEC teams in the Big Ten and they would not go undefeated.  The original poster also probably thought Miami was going to beat OSU to a pulp in the 2002 national championship.  Whatever.

Well my friend....Im not saying they dont deserve a shot, im saying they are gunna get their asses handed to them again because the BIG 12 in no way stacks up to the SEC....Regardless of who wins that SEC championship game, they will destroy Ohio State. By the way you being from Ohio doesnt help the homer senario.

You're a ND fan, but you're ranting because OSU doesn't deserve to be #1 and LSU/FLA do (even if one team has 3 losses, or both have 2). I'm from Ohio and know OSU's schedule is weak, but they've won all their games....,,if they played teams like Colorado, Oregon St. and STANFORD and won, people like you would still be bitching about how overrated they are....Ya got me there.
 
You're prbly still sour over the ass-kicking you're Irish took a couple years back when you're golden boy was outplayed by Troy....Now you're back's against the wall again since your boys can't even play like a division one football team. OSU has the best D in the country and if they go head to head against LSU in the title game and get beat, who cares, the better team will win and that's why you play the games.

CHEROKEE. . . .I agree.  Remember how Brady Quinn and the supposed dynamic Notre Dame offense was the best EVER at ND.  Love it that the Buckeyes smacked them in the mouth.  Don't hate Burton.

This has nothing to do with Notre Dame. I will agree to disagree you..except one thing. If you even think Troy Smith is a better qb than Brady Quinn you have got to be taking a piss. Where is Troy now??? Did he even get drafted?

He won the Heisman by a landslide, so yes he was a BETTER college football qb than Quinn.  It's not even up for discussion.

And yes, he did get drafted by Baltimore and he's a backup now JUST LIKE Quinn.

The only thing I will admit to is that troy smith had a o line that was dominant. Give Brady forever and a day and he could make those plays too. Brady will be a better PRO qb easily. The big 12 sucks and my whole point of this post was that if Ohio State makes it to the championship game an SEC will slap them like a bitch. The End.

Thankfully Ohio St's regular season schedule finally begins this weekend.  All of those "tough" games vs. Purdue and Michigan St.  really showed us how good they were.



I had some clown argue with me the other day that Purdue was a good program . . . . the same Purdue that has only beaten one team with a winning record (akron a few years ago) in the last 3 years.

 I originally hated the Buckeyes because they won a National Championship despite being outplayed by Miami due to an extremely bad call.

 Now I find the whole notion of Ohio State in the BCS championship game nauseatingly repulsive.They did deserve to be in the BCS NC game last year but they didn't even put up a fight and completely rolled over against Florida.They deprived all college football fans that had invested in watching dozens of games and tracking over 700 games only to be rewarded by a matchup involving a team that was too overmatched to even compete.On college footballs biggest stage,they didn;t even put up a respectable fight.There is NO doubt that Florida vs. any of the other Top10 teams would have been more compelling.

 So excuse me if I don't wish to see the perennially overrated Buckeyes play in the BCS championship even though they haven't beat any worthy opponents.Especially if they are paired against an SEC team,as they are 0-8 lifetime against the SEC in "Bowl Games".

Go Bucks!  Earn the right to "deprive" fans that track and watch games again this year.  Best D in the country and it will keep them in the game against anyone.

It's going to be an interesting weekend.  If OSU loses this Saturday, the OSU fans will finally shut the fuck up till the Michigan game.  If OSU wins, their fans are going to be impossible, crowning themselves kings of the college football world, having amnesia about the Florida game last year.

Um why are we talking about last year? What relevance does last year have on this year? Both teams lost a bunch of important starters from last years squads. Hell, Florida lost just about their entire defense. There is no reason to be talking about last years performance because it doesn't mean shit this year.

First off as you can see, I am from Michigan and I am also a huge Gators fan. With that said I actually think Ohio State is worthy of their number 1 ranking, their undefeated and their schedule isnt really their fault, they are playing the schedule they were dealt with.

Besides there is still plenty of season left and nothing has been decided yet. Any team in the top 10 right now has a shot at getting a national championship bid so theres really no reason to say who deserves what at the moment because again, theres plenty of season left and quite a few of these teams actually have to play each other and in the end it will all be figured out.

If Ohio St. makes it to the title game again, I think the outcome will be a lot different this time, win or lose.    Jim Tressel will not allow his team to get blown out again.  The lost of Ted Ginn Jr in last year game deflated the Buckeyes a little.
 
If they can get by Penn St. this week the only other tough game they will have is vs Wolverines, and who knows if Hart or Henne will be healthy by then.
