Toledo +10.5

"The Toledo Rockets bring a high-powered running game into the Idaho Potato Bowl vs. the Utah State Aggies. The Rockets’ running attack is led by David Flullen who ran for 1,456 yards on the season with 13 TDs. He is complimented by QB Terrence Owens who threw for 8.1 yards per attempt, but has also carried for 381 yards and five TDs as well. This offense puts up 32.9 points per game which leaves a tall order for Utah State laying double digits. The Rockets defense hasn't been the greatest, allowing 27.3 points per game. But, they are very opportunistic, finishing the season with 17 INTs. Utah State ran the table in the WAC and comes into the game on a six-game winning streak. They are a more balanced team with an offense that generates over 30 ppg and a defense ranked No. 15 in the country, but will get a stiff test in this one. Both of these squads bring Bowl experience as Toledo tasted the fruits of a Bowl win a year ago over Air Force, while Utah State lost to another MAC team in Ohio. There is definitely a different "pedigree" here when it comes to Bowls, as Toledo has been a very good Bowl team at 8-4, while Utah State is just 1-6. I think that Toledo’s experience of winning a close one last year will propel them to the win here. Take Toledo.""

The guy I got this from is DUE

Like the "fast money" reference,  wondering how hard the total will bet and driven up ?

2 MORE FROM THE SAME GUY

1 unit on Toledo +320 (moneyline) (risk 1 to win 3.2)

Utah State has put up some strong numbers on both sides of the ball. But, this is a Bowl game and we have seen a lot of regular season stats get thrown out the window in the past. I think this one comes down to the Bowl pedigree and experience. Toledo got the taste of victory in a 1-point win over Air Force a year ago by stopping a 2-point conversion attempt, and that experience of winning a close game will go a long way in helping them here if things get tight. The Rockets have fared well in Bowls at 8-4. Utah State simply has not delivered in Bowl games, and their loss last year leaves the school at just 1-6 all-time in Bowl games. Given their potent offense, I think that Toledo has a solid shot of being in this one to win it late, so I will go with Toledo on the moneyline for a small play.

Game: Ball State vs. Central Florida (Friday 12/21 7:30 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Central Florida -285 (moneyline) (risk 3 to win 1.1)

Central Florida squares off with Ball State in the Beef O'Brady's Bowl in St. Petersburg Florida. The Knights missed out on an opportunity to play in the Liberty Bowl with a tough overtime loss in the Conference USA Championship game. While this could be a negative, the Knights should be rallied with a lot of fan support as they play this one in St. Petersburg Florida, which is about 100 miles away from campus. They should have a sizeable homefield advantage asa a result, and teams close to home in Bowl games have done exceptionally well over the years. Both teams averaged over 35 points per game this season but the Knights defense was much better (22.5 ppg allowed compared to 31.5). On the road this season, Ball State's defense surrendered 460 yards and 34.1 points per game. The Cardinals’ offense has some question marks regarding the status of QB Keith Wenning (22 TD). His status for this game has yet to be determined, bu t could be less than 100% if he sees action. And, his backup Kelly Page is also hobbled. The Knights lost four games this season. One was in overtime, another was by 2 points, and a third by 5 points. They also played tough against unbeaten Ohio State before losing by just 15. They are the better team here in a better spot, especially if Wenning can't go. While I am wary of laying 7 points, I feel a straight-up win is a very good play. Take Central Florida on the moneyline.
