They have losses to the 2 best teams in the land and a pretty good OSU team on the road.

Michigan isn't chopped liver folks.  South Carolina has been underwhelming coming down the stretch (although the Clemson win was solid).

SEC bowls like garbage. I think there are better spots out there.

Michigander who gives a garbage! Your an idiot michigan wins by 7 take the points fudge packer! Clowney is going against lewan who is top lineman on most boards! Clowneyis special for sure give big blue some credit! Sc talent is less than michigans! Recruiing sites would concur!

First off, the team in '07 can't be compared to this team.  Not even close.  That year was garbage from the start (cough, cough App State) and what Michigan displayed in the bowl vs. Florida goes to show you why Lloyd Carr retired.  They had NFL  talent all over the field that day vs. Florida, yet couldn't beat App St?  Coach Carr (although a hell of a coach for a period of time) lost games because he was out-coached.  The Florida game was a prime example of using the talent they had that year in the correct way.

Michigan football is still a couple years away, and the main reason is because of the trenches.  SCarolina will win this game, and win it convincingly.  Michigan won't be able to block them.  Clemson has better weapons offensively, and we all watched what happened in that show.  Plus, SCarolinas Corners/Safties will eat up Michigans Wr's.   This game is a complete mis-match, all over the field.  They not only is the speed a mis-match, but the size is a mismatch too.  Michigan could not cross the 50 yard line vs OSU, and their defesne was ranked 7th (IN THE BIG 10!!).

The only way Michigan wins is if SCarolina is uninterested and doesn't show up.  That said, if they treat it like they are playing 'Bama or Clemson, this will be a two score game in favor of USC.

Michigan has played arguably the toughest schedule in the nation...

@ Alabama
@ Notre Dame
@ Nebraska
@ Ohio St

they also had home games against Mich St, Air Force and Northwestern...

the problem is, they failed to cover the spread in any of the 7 games i just mentioned...
