Week Two - Line Watching

Question

Funny week in CFB. Lots of shady openers, followed by totally appropriate line movement. Cincy looked to light; it got bet up. UNC looked to light; it got bet up; Iowa looked to light; it got bet up (and now back down a little); NCSU looked to light; it got bet up. Lots of Syracuse and CMU money. CMU blows, and should score about 3 points. Not sure where the enthusiasm comes from.

Looking for bargains off of over-reactions to Week One performances? How about Wisky at -7, Kansas State at -7, Wake at +10.5, Kentucky -7, Ole Miss -7.5, Penn State +10, Texas Tech -17, Stanford -15? You’re probably getting a “free” six points (more or less) in all of those games. Nice pleaser potential.

Im on Wisky myself at 8. Just dont think OSU will compete in their first game and Wiskys record against the Pac12 speaks for itself. Like Penn State as well but Im not playing them just on the chance that they really are the bad. I can totally see Virginia licking their chops in this one wanting to beat the hell out of the lions but &#x2B;10 seems high

I mean, would it be a shock if Ole Miss, Kansas State, Kentucky, and Texas Tech covered by an extra td or two against UTEP, Miami, Kent and Texas State respectively?

I suspect UTEP shot its load for the year last week.

Miami made BC look like Oregon.

Kent is, well, Kent, and its score against Towson is very deceptive.

Texas State was playing in 1-AA last year, and they weren't exactly a force of nature there.

I can practically taste that new hot tub.

sort of hit or miss, but week two is certainly all about not overreacting to what you saw in week 1. Funny thing is, lots of people sleep on week 1 cause they want to see the teams play.

Thanks, guys. Hope I made some folks a few dollars. I didn't make new hot tub money (that Penn State kicker hits the last kick, and I could have bought one and filled it with Thai hookers), but it was a nice day.

I think next week, we may focus on teams who can't tackle. They're often good for business too.

Nah, i would never play more than three teams in a pleaser. I hit two three-teamers. I can't recall who messed up a couple of others. It will come to me. Oh, Arky State. Lost that one fair and square.

GT? Hmm. Virginia is better than they showed, but I'm still not a big fan. Tech's usual recipe on offense is to be undersized, but quick with a bunch of homerun hitters. From what I saw against Polytech, the Jackets' new MO is to be undersized, but without homerun hitters. Not a big fan of either team this year. Wouldn't try and talk you out of the Jackets at four or less, though.

Yes, still in the Burgh. Should be around on 11/17. What's the occassion? I'll be in BR on 11/2-3 as well. Should be at the Cook by 5:30 that Friday.
