First of all, I had a wager on the over...

No play on a side....

Dont claim sports to be fixed, but sometimes the shit that happens is just amazing....

I cant believe they kicked it at the end. 

They were a football away from a TD....

Isnt it easier to hike the ball to the QB and push him forward than to rely on a kick???

Sure it was a chip shot....but I am guessing there have been more missed kicks from the 4 yd line this year than teams not scoring 1st and goal from a half yard....

I mean shotgun snap lose 3 yards, and risk a fg???

Thought for sure they would go for the TD.....

I feel bad for 2nd half over bets...

for what its worth, the kicker was perfect in PATs this year and that was basically a PAT.

Very true...

But, I mean a kicker is a kicker. 

So many teams we see missed kicks.

How many times do you see a QB fumble on the half-yard line.

Atleast try it once...

Just saying with the line and money gambled on bowl games...seemed a very fishy call...

It was basically an extra point.

That kicker was 74 for 75 this season on xtra points so their decision was not so strange

But personally I would have ran the ball

Why would Gundy call a throwing play if he was throwing it? Why would he risk them getting in the end zone if he was avoiding a touchdown? The questions to answer for people believing it is rigged are far more harder to answer than Gundy calling a field goal. People think everything is rigged when really they just want to make themselves feel better about a loss.

Understand...but he hasnt kicked to win a BCS game...he blew a kick against ISU...

Everyone has their own opinions...like you said, the run would have been your choice...

I just think its easier to gain a football length, than run 2 plays and kick a fg

No way you try to run that shit in. No fumble on the goal line eh, just ask Steelers fans about that playoff game against indy where the Bus pops one out on the goal line and the colts almost take it to the house.  Fuck that, the FG was the RIGHT PLAY.   Stanford cover baby!!

I thought the same...they should of at least attempted at least two qb sneaks and kick on 3rd down. The risk of depending on a fg is far greater than qb sneaking. Especially after stanfords kicker missed a chip shot. By the way, I had okie st and believe stanford was the right but still painful to be teased like that.

I can't tell you how many times people have fumbled trying to reach the ball over the goal line. Field goal is the right play.

QB sneak all you need to do it one thing...snap the ball to the qb and push....

For a fg...you have to block players, snap it much further, make the kick...

Like I said...just seems the QB sneak is safer with much less than can go wrong

 Kicking the field goal on first and goal inside the one-yard line was ASININE.  Oklahoma State should have tried 2 offensive plays before settling for the FG attempt for the reasons you already stated.  The FG is not a given even if the snap is fortunately executed properly.

Hey don't feel bad . . I pick on OKC too.. and a FG is the right play..remember that Dallas Cowboy vs S.F game in Sept ?? when it was 24-24  dallas caught the ball at 1st n goal ??? they have 3 try to push it it.. but nooo.. they decided to kick the FG.. i was on S.F team.. so is all good.. If OKC player would have caught that ball half a yards over the TD line it would been over.. so the game is not fix at all.

Some of you people are funny...I had Stanford, so can't say I wasn't hoping for them to kick, but kicking there is the way to go.  It was a PAT attempt, routine.  If you put any other coach in that spot, you're gonna get the same decision a huge percentage of the time, if not close to everytime.  To suggest a fix is so very comical.

Had no action on the side...just a fan of the game....

Dont have the desire to look at the stats...

Willing to wager large amounts of money that more missed PATs and from the 5 have occured than not scoring from the 1/2 yd line with a TD

a 30+ yd field goal is not a chip shot. At least not in my books and especially not during bowl/championship games.
