First post...mostly to track my own success and failures and to get a perspective on my plays so I can improve. Any insight or advice is appreciated. Plus this will help me out in selling myself on my picks. lol.

Tuesday Night game:
FIU vs Marshall:
FIU -4 for 2.5 Units
Looking at this game, there are some factors why I chose the way I did.
1. QB - Carroll vs Cato. I give the edge to Carroll. He is has been playing well for the past few games, and his 2224 Yards - 14 TD - 4 INT ratio > 1833 Yards - 13 TD - 10 INT. Carroll is also 23 years of age (experience) and is a senior playing out his last game. I think he'll leave everything on the field. Cato is a freshman with things to learn and didn't he lose his job to Graham (QB) for a bit?
Edge - Carroll
2. DEFENSE.Gotta admit, Vinny Curry is straight nasty. His abilities on defense makes me think J. Peppers...but really that's it. FIU has only allowed an average of 19.4 points vs. 30.2 of Marshall's. True Marshall has played 3 ranked teams in V Tech, W Vir., and Houston, but even taking those games out, they still average 25 pts allowed. Remember when Marshall was creamed by Ohio 44-7, yikes.
Edge - FIU
3. OFFENSE outside of QB. FIU's Hilton is crazy elusive and IMO a small dude at 5'7'' always trying to prove his worth out there. He stretches the field with his speed and reminds me of Desean Jackson on Special Teams with his return abilities. Plus I love the fact that Marshall is giving up 150 yards on the ground and if Kedrick Rhodes plays, I think he'll eat up a lot yards.
Edge - FIU 4. Emotional. If indeed Mario Cristobal is out and taking a new coaching gig, I think the players especially seniors Hilton and Carroll are going to play lights out. My prediction: FIU 27 Marshall 14 (Lean is on the under if I did play it)
Edge - FIU

You have done a very nice write-up and I agree with your points. I would add-in that this is basically a home game for FIU and they have never won a bowl game, so they likely want to get that win before losing their coach.

Nice Writeup, they are basicly at home, but I feel like that is a negative. When you are going bowling part of it is traveling away from home as a reward. I think Marshal gets up for this game tonight, going to play in Florida is a treat for them
Good luck
