Marshall has a reason to root for Houston to beat Tulsa on Friday.

About 500,000 of ' em, to be precise.

That's because if Tulsa upsets Houston, which is No. 8 in this week's BCS rankings, it will cost Marshall's athletic department $500,000.

man that article was so misleading in so many ways... aside from the fact 90% of the article had nothing to do with the 500k... it makes it seem like Marshall's AD has something extra invested in this... but it's the same for all CUSA teams... they all get an extra 500k...

the real story should have been about the fact that TULSA gets 500k if they lose to Houston this week... there's your story!
