vs Ok St.....
Having beat BAMA and Oregon, and with Arky currently ranked #6 in BCS....they shouldnt drop but 1 spot, just like BAMA did.....right? This is assuming Ok St goes undefeated and nothing else changes.

If Arkansas beats LSU, then the BSC ranking would determine the SEC West Champion. Here are six possible ranking scenarios, and how the 3-way tie would be resovled for each.
LSU - Bama - Arkansas--> LSU goes
LSU - Arkansas - Bama--> Arkansas goes
Bama - LSU - Arkansas--> LSU goes
Bama - Arkansas - LSU--> Bama goes
Arkansas - LSU - Bama--> Arkansas goes
Arkansas - Bama - LSU--> Bama goes
If the team coming out of the SEC West goes on to win the SEC Championship game as expected, then that would be one of the teams in the championship game. The other team will either be the PAC 10 or Big 12 champion.
I think that's the way it plays out regardless of the outcome of the Arkansas/LSU game.

So if LSU loses by 3 to Arky (for example), would they drop more than 1 spot in the BCS rankings is a better question. I doubt Arky would leap frog BAMA and Oregon (maybe Oklahoma), so they would be 5th at best. How could anyone justify dropping LSU below BAMA and/or Oregon after both lost to LSU?

That is actually not correct Boom. It's a little more complicated than that. Under these circumstances the champion would be determined by the head-to-head matchup between the 2 highest ranked teams.
See post above for a full breakdown.

Not true. The 3-way tie breaker in the SEC where, as in this case, each team has beaten the other, is as follows:
The team with the highest BCS ranking is crowned the champion EXCEPT when the two highest ranked teams are within 5 BCS ranking points of one another. That's exactly the scenario we will see if Arkansas beat LSU. In that case it comes down to head-to-head between the two highest ranked teams. The breakdown of the 6 ranking scenarios I posted above is correct.

If Bama wins out, and Arky beats LSU, then I think it would be safe to say that, out of the three, Alabama will finish in the top two (as they would have been in the top 2 going into the week). The question is who finishes in the top 2 with Bama. I would have to think it would be Arkansas given they would have just beaten LSU. My guess is that Arky would jump LSU but not Alabama, so I think it would look like this:
Alabama - Arkansas - LSU, which would give the Western Division to Alabama.
If that is indeed the way it plays out, I don't see how it could be any more fair than that.

Losing the last game hurts, and Alabama lost 4 games out before the season ends, this has been the way its been done over and over, we all know an early loss is better then losing late.
I believe if Arkansas beats LSU it would have to factor the margin in the win over LSU compared to the Alabama's win over Arkansas as much as losing at the end of the season.
There is nothing wrong with a rematch between Alabama vs LSU the outcome would most likely be different meaning more scores from one or the other.
I don't believe it would be a low scoreing boring game again. I do believe it would be an exciting game that the other game was surpposed to have been and was not.
Clemson beat VT but they could have a rematch in the ACC Championship game, so is that right. Rematches happen plan and simple...
If it's a rematch so what, it's a rematch just enjoy it...If teams don't want to see a rematch win out and go undefeated. As unfar as it is the so called computer loves the SEC...period
As an Alabama fan do i think it's right...NO but i would not protest it..![]()
