The Ohio Bobcats are a good squad this year, coming off a nice win over Temple, putting themselves in the driver's seat in the MAC. I look for them to carry their momentum from last game into tonight's contest against a struggling Central Michigan team. Ohio's offense is very solid, with good players at all the skill positions. They put up a boat load of yards and points against one of the "best defenses in the country" in Temple. I think they will do the same against Central. Central Michigan can score also with a pretty decent quarterback and some good receivers, but I don't think they will be able to match scores with Ohio's offense. The two critical factors in this game, in my view, are rest and motivation. Central is coming off its second three game road trip of the season, and playing its third game in twelve days. That is brutal scheduling. Central has also not had a bye this year. Ohio, meanwhile, played last Wednesday against Temple so they have an extra day to prepare for this Thursday night contest. That is a significant difference in the amount of rest both teams have for this game. Also, Ohio knows they control their own destiny in the MAC, and will be highly motivated tonight. I think all of these factors put together make for a comfortable Ohio win tonight.
