After seeing the latest rankings, this is why SEC will keep winning the National Championships for years
to come. The BS that's called the BCS is set up to reward SEC and
disrespect and disregard the other conferences performanses. Alabama lost to LSU. No
way should they be ahead of an undefeated Stanford. Or even Boise st and one loss Oregon.
Oregon lost to the same LSU and AP and USA today dropped them from rank 3
to rank 13 and 14. Bama loses and they drop a mere two spots from 2 to 4.
Ridiculous. Same with Oklahoma losing and dropping from 3 to 11 and 9 in the AP and USA Today polls.
Other than Arkansas, 'Bama's schedule is nothing to write
home about this year. This includes Kent st, North Texas, Georgia Southern, Ole Miss, Tenn, Florida, Vandy and even an 8-1 Penn state that has not played one decent team so far outside of Alabama. Boise St, Stanford and Oregon would have rolled most teams on 'Bama's schedule too.
That was a bad offensive output from Alabama in
that game. Don't reward good defensive efforts by giving them a pass on
the offensive side. I watched that game and it was a yawner. Would
rather have watched Oklahoma st vs Kansas st game.
SEC may be the best football conference from top to bottom but like most of the major conferences, there's the 2 or 3 teams that dominate at the top and then there's the rest. Hopefully things shake out by the end of the season and we do not see an undeserving Alabama/LSU rematch for the title game.

That’s why they get the benefit of the doubt, as they should.
If you take away the garbage TD scored with about 10 seconds left in the game #3 Oregon lost to #4 LSU 40-20.
#3 OU got beat SU at home as a 30 point favorite to unranked Texas Tech.
#2 Alabama lost by 3 points to #1 LSU in overtime.
Do you really need an explanation why Bama didn’t drop as far as Oregon or OU?
Also just for a comparison: #2 Michigan dropped to #3 after they lost to #1 Ohio State.
Excellant points all.
Plus the computers are responsible for 'Bama being ranked #3 not humans. Each team is graded on individual merit by the computers and conference affiliation does not enter into the equation.

You nailed it
I will put it to you like this... You might not like the way it looks, but that is how two physical teams play each other. Just because you are used to seeing high scoring games, with sorry ass defensive efforts, doesn't mean the rest of the world does. This was the best game that has been played all season, and no teams can compete with these two.
If you want to see two teams get blown out by LSU and Bama in bowl games, that is fine. But the only team that can compete with LSU, and possibly beat them, is Bama.

It will not matter if Stanford wins out. They still have to play Oregon and the Pac 12 Championship (if they make it). They will jump Bama if they win those games.

The SEC is definitely weaker than usual this year, no arguing that..
They have the #1 and #3 BCS ranked teams as well as the #8,#13,#15, and #20. That's 3 of the top 8 teams, 5 of the top 15, and 6 of the top 20. How much more dominating could one conference possibly be ?

There is a reason they are not in the top tier , same reason as
Boise and same reason Stanford is ranked below Alabama.
u must be joking---or smoking jamaicas finest
shall i remind u why a 9-0 houston is disrespected
1.- they play in the pewee conference of the bottom feeders 2.- where the hell u want them to be after playing: N.Tex , Georgia ST, UAB ; Rice, Marshall, E.Car. Tulane just rubbish the only real team they faced was a very very rat shit UCLA team at its worst and barely won by 4- the other team that will give them a tough time is Tulsa--and thats it---- at least BSU schedule was a bit, just a bit more challenging

I think Georgia is the third best team in the SEC, and Boise St. housed them..not even a game..
I agree with Laroja I'd put Arky ahead of Georgia who has definitely progressed since that Boise St. game. But I agree with you that Boise State is much better even now than the Bulldogs. The 'Broncs are one of the best 3 or 4 teams in the nation so this should not be too surprising.

You obvioulsy can barely read,,,,, that is entirely my point that national ranking is more involved than merely looking at the win-loss. Stanford's 8-0 record doesnt get them above Alabama with 1 loss.
