Agreed, makes no sense...play for field position in the 1st half...going with a kicker that has no confidence doesn't help. I said the same shit when I saw Maze throw the ball, was wondering why the fuck would you go with a trick play when Richardson was doing so well and the momentum was with Bama, lost 1st, 2nd and FG bet with Bama.

He is not way overrated, but this was not one of his best coaching performances. Alabama was too sloppy at key moments during this game. Alabama=Say hello to the Sugar Bowl.

Well it felt like to me that Bama dominated the game both offensively and defensively but made critical mistakes at the worst possible time.  I am not so sure those mistakes are on Saban.  The worst decision was those last two calls.  It is clear that you are playing for a FG in third in long so screen plan, quick pass or running play was the decision.  One the QB took the sack though you needed to go for it on 4th down.  There was less than 1% chance he would make a 52 yard FG.  But the last two calls are on Saban but as a whole I thought he stayed consistent with his normal type of gameplan.  BOL!

To the morons who are calling him a bad coach, you have no clue whatsoever. Alabama has a roster full of 4star and 5 star recruits, those kickers need to make at least 2 of those kicks.

I agree with Maze back there on that punt return, that was dumb. Don't know if that falls on the special teams coach or Saban. McCarron's passes just float in the air.....

The game was basically established by the kicker early in the game.  He missed two field goals then then they try another one with a guy that can&#x27;t kick that far.  That was the one bad decision that he made he should have punter the ball.  The Maze throw was not a bad call and he was open if he leads him at all.  I think the play call there was also affected by the fg kicker he knew they had to make a play because he probally didn&#x27;t trust his kicker at all.  I know I never have.
