houston -27 should be everyones pick of the week

wow, national tv, case, houston looking to move up rankings, rice sucks donkey balls....im thinking this is a 63-10 game...so if rice was +52, id still take houston. im gonna do some research now, but i dont think any is needed. what do you guys think?

Keenum allows us to make a very strong case for backing him and the Houston offense. But as good as he is, Houston's defense is just as bad. I understand Rice is bad but they can still score on Houston. Wouldn't Houston't team total be a better play?

If Houston's team total doesn't go over then Houston isn't covering the spread.

nice thought. i agree with going with the total instead. ill take 70+ points on national tv than worrying about the damn spread

rice jsut lost to tulsa by 18 at home. tulsa has a bad defense and houston is wayyyyy better than tulsa. im gonna have to do some deep thinking on this game now. it just seems like a good game to cash on instead of the other games that will be nail biters. i think this is the game that you can start celebrating mid way thru the third qt.

If you want to start celebrating through the 3rd q then I think the tt is more beneficial. Again, I think that if Houston doesn't cover the tt then they wont cover the spread because I believe Rice will put up a few points. But I also agree with you, Houston seems to be the right side.  Good luck, have a great week

plus case can get some publicity for the heisman with this game. he will throw for 500 yards and 5 tds. if not more. i need to see what houstons def. is all about. considering they are in the middle of the country, they too do not know how to play defense.

rice is 101 in OFF and 115 in DEF

ecu has 55th ranked offense and houston just won 56-3

im hammering first half and game. tt and spread.

Well, I hope you're right but unfortunately, the oddsmakers use a few more variables than just statistical rankings which is probably why they set the line at 27 and not 31-40 points. If these games all turned out as their offensive and defensive rankings indicate, we would all be rich. Not arguing with you, I just hope you cover all of the variables.

Play Houston over team total is the best bet here should be around 42 points

Your question was a point that I was trying to make.  I think Rice will put points on the board so I really don't want to fuck with the spread. Houston's tt seems to be the best option.

My local doesn't take TT, but I think the over is a good play, better than the 27 anyway.  Thanks for bringing the game to my attention.  BOL

This is a rivalry game, so anything could happen.  As amd pointed out, just play the UH team total and don't worry about a potential backdoor cover.

houston defense is pretty bad, and -27/28 is a ton of points. A backdoor is insanely easy in this game. I think the over or the TT is a better play.

houston defense can be as bad as they want to be. rice has one of the worst offenses in the country. im guessing that this game is only -27 because its a "rivalry" game in the no defense state of texas. are there any hard nosed kids from this part of the country?

houston is going to get 55 points minimum, so if you guys think rice owls get a back door cover(just like the rams didnt against the packers 2 weeks ago)....then rice(101 ranked offense) is gonna score 30 points? highly doubtful

Houston Coming HOT last week, I think people pick alot of houston, so Vegas should let Houston win but not cover spread.

WHY DON'T YOU JUST PLAY HOUSTON MONEYLINE AND RISK 1,100 TO WIN 100 -- THERE'S HUGE VALUE IN THAT LINE!

WHY ON EARTH WOULD SOMEONE LAY 27 POINTS WITH A TEAM THAT HAS SWISS CHEESE FOR DEFENSE AND CALL IT A LOCK!

Seth...If you are so sure UH is gonna hang 60 plus, then why in the HELL would you not play the team total? Rice scored 31 vs Baylor and lost by 25. UH's defense is every bit a shitty as Baylor's. One thing to keep in mind is that a front will be coming through Houston Thurs night, so wind and rain may be a factor.
