I agree. Although I don't like the -7 (more for the fact of UM playing first time away from the Big House), I don't see them losing. I have read a couple of threads and people throwing out a lot of bullshit, like "they have MSU on deck, so they are overlooking this game.." Complete bullshit. I have also heard, Michigan hasn't played anybody aside from Notre Dame. Bullshit. (Btw. I always love how teams are really good until they get beat.. like SDSU has the number two leading rusher in the nation, but b/c Michigan shut him down, he's overrated...)
Anyway, back to my point. Michigan is playing with loads of confindence right now, and that goes a very long way. Ask Clemson (or the Detriot Lions for that matter).
Michigan is not overlooking this game by a long shot. These kids have been shit on for three years. And I mean completely ridiculed. They are set out to win every fucking game they play, regardless of where it's at, and who they are playing.
Two things used to happen to Michigan in a game like this; (1) They were more talented, so they were arrogant and too cocky or (2) within the last couple years, simply weren't better than the opposition. This year is a bit different. They have better athletes than Northwestern, and they have eaten a humble sandwich for the past three seasons. These kids will not look past this game are thriving to make this coaching staff proud of them. Mattison, Hoke and company will have a game plan for Persa (which will rely on keeping the ball in front of them and don't give up the big play.. something they have done very well all year.)
Offensviley; watch the Illinois game vs Northwestern last week. The Zookers went up and down the field on UN (some bad desicions were made by Scheelhaase, or that score is alot different early in the game.. Illinois could have been up 21-0).. But if you watch that game, there were a lot of running lanes on NU's defense. Look for a lot of QB lead, QB Draws, and mis-direction for Michigan, keeping the ball in DRobs hands (I realize this is much of their package anyway, but Al Borges sometimes gets too cute with keeping Denard in his new Pro-Style).. I think they will want to come out swining early, not only too get the crowd out of it, but too keep the confindence going with the kids.
I think teasing down is a great bet.

I like playing 6 point teasers. I really like the idea of teasing this line down. Who were you planning to add to this bet?
I usually like to play 3 teams.

If you are looking to add others. I think teasing down Nebraska is a very good bet. Ohio State is in complete shambles right now. They may get beat by 25, let alone 8.

I agree... I see major let down for Michigan away from the big house. NW starting to get back to full strength. High scoring game no doubt but NW hangs close and a fg decides this game in my mind....
