"The Associated Pres reported SEC spokesman Charles Bloom said there was no mention of the reported conversations in either of the school's reports to the league."

thats about the most credible source ive heard to date, wouldnt you agree....

why would Miss st. not tell the SEC on TWO seperate occasions of providing information about Cams recruitment that these conversations took place? maybe because they arent true

that makes all 3 allegations against Cameron Newton false

Let me ask you one question? Are you an Auburn fan? This guy is guilty in some sort of fashion. His father even admitted it was about $$$$. If either one had half of brain, money is not allowed or should not even be discussed in collegiate sports, especially with someone with a high profile. Yes, someone is out to get Cam, but him and his family wre very foolish to put themselves in the situation! He is guilty, and they will eventually get all the proof they need. The NCAA could of handled it better, but theuy move very slow! Cam should have to pay for the consequences along with Auburn U.

The quote from his father you are talking about is an alleged quote from a rival school. Already the SEC has said that MSU did not report these conversations in their report. So there is a good chance that quote is also a lie.

If I am Auburn then next year I report every MSU recruit as having said some bogus quote or or making demands. It will be no worse that what MSU has done about Cam.

THE NCAA is the one in charge, they are the one investigating this, that is where all of this is getting reported to!

Wipe your chin off. The guy is dirty. But the SEC and the NCAA wont do a thing about it until after the season is over with. They will take away all auburns wins and fine someone. But it will be too late for the other teams that play fair and are trying to win a title. Way too much money at stake for Auburn and the SEC.

By rule SEC schools must funnel all reports through the SEC office before they report to the NCAA. The SEC knows everything that was reported. The new MSU story about conversations was not part of the report.

So ask why did the story change? Because MSU realized that having an booster/alum talking to recruits like they orginally reported (John Bond) is an NCAA violation. Now John Bond is saying he never talked to Cam Newton.

So what has MSU alleged that is true? Probably nothing or they wouldn't have to keep changing their lies.

I guess the question I have is why give a shit???? I have always had problems understanding how you can be a fan of any team and still make money gambling. Maybe it is just me, but I could really give a rats ass about any of this kind of stuff unless it is going to put money in my pocket

I actually only lost one time against them this year, vs ole miss, won when they beat SC! the rest were no plays! I could really give a rats ass what happens! the sad part is that when this whole issue came up with Cam...many people were so ignorant about it and thought the "media" is blowing it out of proportion with false accusations. Only two parties are gonna suffer: Auburn and head coach Chizik....for standing by Newton's side. As a coach, why would yo do that? especially when these kids could be doing it on the side. aka: reggie bush.

Using money, properties, and sex...to recruit top prospects has been around for a long time. prime example: 30 for 30 on marcus dupree. You got former coaches and assistant coaches ADMITTING IT. I don't blame Cam Newton....frankly I don't know too many people who wouldn't mind taking an early pay check n 200K is more than a few fried chicken wings.
