Everyone ready for the Toilet Bowl?!?!? 
While it's certainly no barnburner, this game won't be as ugly as say...last week's UNM vs NMSU with it's 10 turnovers and 474 yds of total offense for both teams...and a 16-14 final score.

If they can do that, well then...they can sure as hell beat KSU in Lawrence, right? 
Well, the win over GTech was a bit hollow to say the least. How did KU win? I can assure you they're not in the same league as GTech and they got away with one as GTech rushed for around 5.7 ypc. I guess a loss can happen when GTech flies west for an early morning game with a team they feel they need to pay no attention to...with UNC on deck. KU IS A BAD TEAM, PEOPLE.

So then...why bet KSU? They're not very good either. Well, let's assume that talent is the same on both sides of the ball (it's probably not...let's just assume). Do you think that Turner Gill's team has adapted to his way of doing things more so than Bill Snyder's team which is in their second season in the program 
? The answer would be "no".

Bowl implications...KU is no bowl team. KSU has a shot. 
Are you willing to bet on Turner Gill in his first season as coach of KU vs Bill Snyder in a must-win situation? Remember that KU, with more talent and time in Mangino's system, couldn't beat Snyder last season when he had to throw a team together with duct tape in his first year back.

The LB's and safeties are still a liability, but not quite as much vs KU. Speaking of safeties and secondaries, KSU's pass d is third in the conf, so it's not like KU will be able to throw the ball all over the place.
Lastly, in Bill Snyder's first ascent up the conference standings in the early 90's, he had a very impressive bounce-back record. He also never took this game for granted, and goal #1 is to own the state.
There is the threat of NU hangover...I'll wager that KSU has enough left in the tank this week to get it done. No blowout tonight...not many fireworks...just a cover in a "do or die" game for KSU..
