Record: 5-2 (Temple spread v. Nova; Owls Under v. CMU and UConn, Under and Spread NIU.....Losses were Penn State spread and Army Spread)
Well Temple's flaws were exposed in this one as NIU controlled the clock and forced the Owls to throw the ball to beat them. A lot of discontent in the fanbase in Chester Stewart whose inaccuracy killed Temple. A real quarterback and arguably they are undefeated.
In comes Bowling Green to town and Temple is a massive favorite. Bowling Green's offense sputters rushing the ball as they run for slightly over 70 yds per game but they can throw. Whomever is under center will be apt to throw the ball against Temple and probably have a lot of success doing so.
If you notice the Falcons losses came to teams with passing attacks which Temple just doesnt have right now. I mean they've got the wideouts to make people pay but they don't have the QB to get the ball to them. This makes it more amazing how Pierce and Brown can run the ball because I figure teams have to be put 9 or 10 in the box.
The oddsmakers have installed the Owls a double digit favorite in this one and I really don't know why. BG got blown out by Michigan and Ohio who each can beat you on the ground and in the air. They kept things close with Troy, Tulsa and Buffalo who are either one dimensional or weak offensively.
This is a gift...I think BG scores and scores often. Temple's going to win because they are just better then the Falcons but I think it's close. I'll also be looking at the over when it comes out. I'm seeing something around 35-24 TU in this one.

Blake, Nice write up. I've gone sorta MAC crazy this week and bet @Toledo -2 and @ C. Mich. -10 (120). My heavy lean is @ Ohio -16 against Akron. Any opinions appreciated.
I have 9 early bets and about 16 I'm looking at. Gonna take a hard look at that B. Green game. Thanks!

Bowling Green saw a six-point line move (-9 to -3) two weeks ago against
Buffalo (BG lost outright) and last week, though not as big, Falcon
faders were spot on as Ohio cruised to victory. This week, to no
surprise, Bowling Green opened as a 15-point road underdog at Temple –
the current market shows 17.5 and 18. Even with the strong fade, Bowling
Green hasn’t covered a game in three weeks.
GL Blake.

Blake, Bowling is @ +20.5 @ 5Dimes. 5.5 pt. jump from the 15 pt. opener. I think I'll wait for that magic 21 pts. before I get in on this. Looks like you could wait for 21.5 the way this is going.

not sure you can attribute this early move in this lightly appealing matchup to be steam, looks like shart move that will come back late for nice middle or just keep early line, appreciate you know your boyz, but afraid over is your only solid action

Bowling Green+20 and Over 53.5 is a very safe bet IMO. Asking Temple to hold BG under 17 points is tough. Schilz looked OK is his return vs Ohio and I think they can put up 21 on temple. GL all.

I can never see Temple putting 20 point over anybody....they only beat Villanova by 7!! I agree they are a better team and Bowling Green isn't as good as the past yrs; but still, 20??

Betus has 14.5 points for Bowling Green. I'm dumping an awful lot on that.
The only worry for me is that there's talk all around campus of revenge on Bowling Green for the shellacking they put on the Owls when they were terrible. It's not a big factor to me though. There's also rumblings of a QB change although I dont see it happening unless Temple gets a big lead.
I just can't see a scenario where Temple blows em out of the water. I just can't.

Best play here is the over not the team. Experts have picked the over 51, 9 to 1. Look at the points both teams put up and you can see why. Good write up but not willing to put money on a sorry team, rather watch 2 teams score alot and not worry about covering. GL.
