Before I get my head ripped off let me start by saying I know he plays in the WAC against some of the worst defenses in the country. However, it seems to me the Heisman of late (except for Mark Ingram), has been looked as more as a career achievement award. This guy has carried the Nevada offense for four seasons...and has been a real dual threat..(especially the last two seasons where his passing has greatly improved)
I really think if Nevada can pull the upset of Boise this season, he will have a legit shot at the trophy..Obviously not likely, but still a possibility. It's such a tough task to try and stop the pistol when only preparing for one week...I also think he is as exciting as anyone in the country, and if he can reel in a few legit wins this season, he deserves a chance..
