North Carolina Vs GA Tech

Does anyone have information or analysis on this game?  NC -1 is looking really good to me right now, please let me know, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I like georgia tech to rebound here against a depleted and emotional drained NC team. Will probably still be a good game though.

I believe they're playing their home opener, coming off a bye week, they should be well rested, & they should've beaten LSU...One of there best players comes back in RB Shaun Draughn coming off suspension, he will be ready to produce.  T.J Yates puts up 360 yards 2 Td's 1 Int, UNC wins 28 - 17

Leaning North Carolina as well.  Georgia Tech is one dimensional and we saw even in the LSU game that the backups on the UNC defense are very capable of playing well and stopping the run.

I agree, they're Defensive tackles looked great, I expect inside backers to have a big game, & NC will be ready to roll & put all this off the field BS behind them (which it seems like they already have).  Good luck this week

I think they game could go either way. I think the best play on the game might be the under 51. Heels have had 2 weeks to prep for the GT option game. 2 more weeks working with the defense they have now. Draughns coming back is a big step for the offense, although they really need Little back.

It is the home opener, an F-16 will fly over, the fans have really been behind them and its an "us against the world" kinda feel. Like I said, I think either could win, but If I play it before the 2nd HF, it will be the under .

GA TECH lays an egg....

I cant see them responding after that loss.   NC will stop the run...and GA TECH...cant pass for crap

thucka- agreed the under looks good. Both teams will be running the ball a lot and that means long time consuming drives.

Looking to see how much the ML will shoot up. Although Ga Tech will win IMO +110 isn't much value.

Not big on the totals but I am a big Ga Tech fan and I will say this...

Don't be fooled into thinking Ga Tech is a good under play because they run the triple option.

Following a loss, GA Tech is 4-0-1 ATS under Paul Johnson.  Then again, teams fare better against the triple option when they have extra time to prepare, and UNC is coming off a bye week.  Tough game.

GT is still overvalued despite last week's loss, which was not that big of an upset.  The lack of playmakers on this team is quite apparent, as Johnson has not done a good job of replacing some of the tremendous talent Gailey left him.

UNC should indeed be playing with an "us against the world" mentality with a raucous crowd behind them in a statement game in conference.  They have had two weeks to recover from the emotional game vs LSU and have had extra time to prepare for GT's O.  Even with the players missing, I feel they are a more talented team than GT on both sides of the ball.

I love UNC and the under here.

Home opener/ Conference Opener...& Coming off a bye week, I think LSU is overrated as well, but think that was a good loss for UNC.  I'm on the Under & ATS as well.  Good Luck.

Take the under, they both suck this year.  ACC is really hurting, except maybe for Miami.

Its a no play Im staying far away from this game.

But I just found it amusing that this guy is actually going to make the claim that with the suspensions included, UNC is a better on both sides of the ball..That is simply and blatantly false.

For the record, in last year's contest, UNC tallied a whopping 7 yards of total offense combined in their first 5 drives.

A couple additional stats from last year's game:

total yards: UNC: 154 ------- GT: 406

rushing yards: UNC: 17  ------  GT: 317

3rd downs: UNC: 1-11   -------   GT: 10-19

Time of possession: UNC: 17:54  ----------  GT 42:06

Ist downs: UNC: 8   -----------  GT: 24

Keep in mind this is with everyone healthy for UNC

 

I know last season isnt this season, but its just some food for thought

Yates sucks I love to bet against him so Ill be on Paul Johnson.  If UNC doesnt score a few late points against LSU and GT doesnt fall into that Kansas trap after htey lost to a 1-aa youd be giving a TD on the road.
