Suh deserves Heisman. Thoughts?

Suh was way more valuable and dominating throughout the entire year compared to all the other guys.

This is definitely one year that someone like Suh should win it.

he probably won't win the heisman because the heisman trophy doesn't have a clear cut meaning.  Does it mean best player? Means most to the team?  Best Stats?  Most Deserving?  So it's left up to the voters to interpret that.   

I would say that the voters probably understand that "the best player in college football" means that a player is the best in college football and that nfl draft value has nothing to do with this award.

 Tim Tebow will not sniff the top 10 in the NFL draft,are you saying that he should not have won the '07 Heisman? What about Eric Crouch or Jason White? Should they have returned their trophys after they were snubbed in the opening rounds of the draft?

 Suh had an absolutely dominating and amazing performance against Texas but his regular season numbers actually fell from last year;

Tackles - '08 - 76/ '09 - 70

Tackles for loss- '08-19 for 85 yds./ '09-16 for 70 yds.

Sacks - '08 - 7.5 for 67 yds./ '09 - 7.5 for 56 yds.

Fumble recoveries - '08 - 0/ '09 - 0

Interceptions- '08 - 0/ '09 - 0

Suh won the Bronko Nagurski award today and he surely deserved to do so,he also deserved to be invited to NYC however only one defensive player has ever won the award (Charles Woodson) and he should have probably finished second to Peyton Manning.So if you want to be the second defensive player in 75 years to win the award you have freakish numbers and Suh over 13 games has not done that.

Where is the stat for forcing Offensive Coordinators to put another blocker on a guy?

Where is the stat for a DL who soaks up 3 blocks to free up a LB to make the tackle for the loss.

People who know and understand football, know just valuable Suh is to a team. 

Nebraska was able to play 7 DBs pretty much the whole time vs. Texas, only because of what Suh and Nebraskas front 4 were able to do up front. Incredible absolutly incredible.

he probably does deserve it but he won't get it... defensive players need to have season-long hype in order to get the Heisman... he has only started to get attention at the end of the season...

he'll get something better than a Heisman anyway... a #1 draft pick and the right to play for the Cleveland Browns...

The Heisman is a joke.  It rarely goes to the best college football player.

Here's a quiz  for you.  If you were putting together a team and could take anyone, who would you pick first?  Who would be most likely to help you win games? 

A QB needs recievers and blockers.  A reciever needs a QB.  A runner needs blockers.  But a defensive lineman is a force unto himself.   

i agree only Gerhart and Suh really had "Heisman-worthy" seasons... if anyone else wins it (including Ingram) it would have to go down as one of the worst Heisman winners of all time...

i would say it is about 90% certain Gerhart will get it...
