It's been a fun football season here on Covers. I joined the party a little late, but I still made a decent profit betting on the college kids. I'm anxiously awaiting the bowl season, and I look to double my bankroll this weekend on one game.
Call me crazy, stupid, a homer, whatever. I am extremely confident in this wager that I have already locked in.
I am cognizant of the Nebraska defense. I realize their interior defensive line is arguably best in the country. Guess what folks, I don't care. Colt will have his way with them moving outside of the pocket and buying time.
The key number here is 27. If Texas can score 27 points (season average is 43) they will cover plain and simple. Observing Nebraska many times this year, I can tell you their offense is painful to watch. I am willing to spot Nebraska 13 points in this game, and I believe that is being generous. One could argue that Texas A&M exposed the Longhorns defensively, but that rivalry game is an entirely different animal. TAMU quarterback Johnson is highly underrated and is the most athletic quarterback Texas had faced all season. That game meant the world to the Aggies and they played their hearts out.
Nebraska quarterback Zac Lee will be running for his life in this one. I will tell you that I'd be shocked if the Longhorn defense doesn't contribute to putting points on the board Saturday night. Conversely, the best defense NU has played this season was OU at home. In that game, NU managed a meager 10 points. Again, they'll be lucky to match that total this week, but I'm willing to spot them 13.
It's going to be one hell of an atmosphere, and I just purchased four tickets in the Texas lower level end zone at Cowboys stadium. Looking forward to watching my Horns make me some money for a trip to Pasadena to play the Gators in the matchup that should have happened last year. Hook 'Em!

Orangeblood-Like your pick and have enjoyed your analysis this season....However, why all in? Aren't they having a Bowl Season this yr.?
I believe money mgmt. is every bit as important as solid selections. I hope it works out for you I just don't believe in going all in.....
BOL!
Trooper, this game spells mismatch every way I look at it. In my opinion, the line is only at 14 because it's the Big 12 Championship. If I lose, it's not a big deal to me. I'll still eat tomorrow. However, I'm that confident in this play.

Its funny that whenever Texas has a bad game is chalked up to being a "rivalry" game. Beat crappy OU by 3 points - rivalry. Allow 39 points to A&M - rivalry.
But seriously look at how low the Total is for this game and look at how many points Nebraska is getting. After Colt throws his first pick in this game Mack Brown will be more than satisfied with just getting out of there with a W.

BOL Blood, i'm with ya. I think Texas O will have it tough but the key is the D, they will get a score and keep the game on Nebraskas side of the field which will make it a bit easier for Colt.

what did those tickets cost started to go to Bay TT game last week end
Got all four for $700 on Craigslist locally. I'm in section 247. Pretty bad ass seats. If you go to DallasCowboys.com you can view the interactive maps.

I wish SEC tickets were that cheap.. I just bought mine and had to pay $350 each for them and that is considered a steal...

koko, I hear ya. Our matchup just isn't that hyped for obvious reasons. Florida vs. Alabama is one hell of a game to be at this weekend, and I'll be certainly be watching this one closely. I absolutely have to make a play on this game, be it large or small, but I can't make a decision. I'm honestly leaning UF at this point. All things being equal, I lean towards the better quaterback.
