YTD POSTED: 19-12
Week 8: https://www.covers.com/postingforum/post01/showmessage.aspx?spt=33&sub=100556863
In early week 9, Im leaning..
Georgia +16 - Love them off the bye in a neutral field with Florida getting closer and closer to falling off the unbeaten list. GA has more firepower then Miss St on offense and Richt should be able to scheme to keep this close.
Ole Miss -3.5 - I was huge on LSU last week against Auburn and Im going to continue to ride against them here. Like I said they will be the Iowa St of the SEC with Chizic (sp) as coach. Snead and the Rebels roll here easy.
Indiana +17.5 - Gotta do a little more research but I see Iowa all the time and they can barely score 17. Sorry Hawkeyes. Indiana is actually on the rise they played a good game against Northwestern last week and actually dominated the hell out of them, actually up 28-0 at one point. Since they have been notoriously bad they continue to get overlooked, similar to Duke in the ACC. Indiana keeps this one within range I think.
Duke +7 - I rode Duke last week when they were favored vs Maryland. They won but didnt cover due to the bad weather, caused a few turnovers, none the less they won the game which is what good teams do against bad teams no matter what. I was on the Virginia wagon last week and we got ran by G-Tech. Weather pemitting Duke and QB lewis have enough in the offense to keep this close and may even win this game. VA off a rivalry loss, they may overlook Duke, Blue Devils playing for a bowl game...I'll ride with em getting 7.
TX AM -6.5 - Big 12 fan so I see both these guys and Iowa St alot, no way on earth Iowa St can score with TXAM. QB is a stud and Iowa St running with a backup. They shouldnt have beat Nebraska but hey we all get lucky. Aggies just hung 50 on TX Tech in Lubbock. Nebraska has a terrible offense and just gave Iowa St the ball. As long as the Aggies dont do that we'll roll here easy.
Geogia Tech -12.5 - Figured Gtech was due for a letdown last week. Boy was I wrong, they funmbled and bumbled for awhile but pulled away like potentional ACC champions do. Vandy lost a rivarly game with S.Car last week (was on Vandy) but offensivly couldn't do much. G-Tech just has too many good backs to rotate in and out, they look nice. Two touchdowns against a team that hasn't put it together on offense for 8 weeks??? G-Tech has dominated tough defenses like VA, V-Tech..Vandy will be no different, there season (2-6 SU) is over. GTECH HUGE
South Carolina +5.5 - lol this is a gift here. tennessee gave alabama a good scare but all good cappers expected that with Tennessee having 2 weeks to prepare and a defense good enough to keep it close. Tennessee has lost alot of close games this season and I just dont see them winning this one. SC has the better offense and a defense just as good. Besides a heartbreaker to GA and a close loss to Alabama, South Carolina would be undefeated. Public is sleeping on the Gamecocks this year, Tennessee hasnt turned the corner completly. Give me SC with 5.5.
Michigan St -4.5 - Michigan ST lost the hearbreaker to Iowa which they couldve won, which I think is why we're getting this line so low...Minnesota is horrible I repeat horrible. They have a nice RB but fail to use him, Weber is good for a slant every now and then but their offense SPUTTERS. They scored 0 against Penn and 7 against Ohio St. It opened @ 6 and is already down to 4.5 lol Minnesota's season is over, Michigan St still playing for a decent bowl. MSU by a touchdown atleast.
Wisconsin -6.5 - Wisconsin off the bye, Purdue off two wins, big win over Ohio St then a solid win against Illinois. With a win here Wisconsin becomes bowl eligible @ 6-2, top tier RB in Clay against a defense off two touch confrence games. I think the Badgers have enough to put a bottle on Elliot and eliminate his scrambling, and pull out a home W. Purdue had their W of the season over Ohio St...Wisconsin in a dominating performance.
Also leaning..
Kentucky -3
Cal -7
Ark St +4.5
BC -4 (Value is with the Chippewas but....BC is touch @ home. more research)
Northern Illinois -9.5
Rutgers (+7.5)
Nebraska -12.5
Air Force -3.5
Penn St -13.5

Still evaluating though...BOL
