I took South Carolina +7 in this one and if I wasn't a Georgia Alum, I'd probably pick them on the ML. Here are 5 good reasons why.
1. Steve Spurrier played last Thursday and thus gets an extra few days to prepare for the Dawgs. He is very talented schematically and will put the extra days of preparation to good use.
2. This game is generally very close...5 of the last seven have been decided by a touchdown or less. Gimme them points!
3. Georgia lacks any playmakers on offense outside of AJ Green. You can bet South Carolina will double Green all game long. It is unlikely Georgia will be able to generate alot of points, especially against a very good South Carolina defense.
4. Georgia still struggles to generate a pass rush. They are particularly weak at Defensive End. Expect Spurrier to run off tackle and roll out his QB Garcia to exploit this weakness.
5. South Carolina has improved greatly along their offensive line, whereas Georgia's Offensive line is overrated (and they lost starting tackle Sturdivant for the year). South Carolina will dominate both lines of scrimmage.
Let me know what ya'll think and BOL!!!

I thought your Dawgs played pretty good gainst a very good Okie State team. Cox just missed a couple of passes high that would have kept that game closer than 24-10.
I thought the Dawgs still showed very good team speed and sure tackling.
But -7.5 is too much. -7 and I might take them. Two road games in a row to open the season is a tough chore SC.

How long did Spurrier have to prepare for NC State? That offense better step it up or this one could get out of hand early on the road. 7 points won't get it done this weekend.

Taking South Carolina here: Tidbit :::: teams that lose thier previous years bowl game, then lose first game of the next season (Georgia), play in Conference the next week are 6-19 ATS Marc Lawrence system play..... thought it was interesting bit of info...

I believe you are probably on the right side here. I'm a Gamecock and I'll probably stay off the side and take the under. I had the Dawgs last year at -7 and unfortunately my team didn't win and I pushed the stinking bet. I like the right up and good luck my friend.
