3 to me is a gift for Notre Dame in this game.  Couple reasons.  This might come as a shock to you but Charlie Weis is a genius playcaller.  He will keep that Michigan defense off balance all game long.  If they try to take away the deep threats of Tate and Floyd they had a very impressive screen game Saturday, which I wanted to see more this season.   If the Michigan defense plays off the receivers look for quick bubble screens to Mike Floyd which destroyed Nevada.  If they get single coverage on the outside they will be able to exploit that all game long once again.  If they play the receivers tight then they will just run right by the corners.   Another thing to think about here is the experience and tremendous decision making of Clausen.  Everyone hates him but he is going to have a monster season.  This is going to be his first really big win on the road.  His reads and the way he was able to manipulate the Nevada defense with his eyes was unbelievable to watch in that game.  I think hes starting to show glimpses of why he was the number 1 recruit coming out of high school.   Another thing about this game is I really don't see how Michigan is going to stop their offense once again.  Like I said Weis is a great playcaller.  Tenuta calling plays on defense is going to cause problems for the young QB's of Michigan.  They aren't going to see the same speed obviously they saw in the first game with WMU.  Look for a lot of blitzing and a lot of confusion on the part of Forcier and whoever else they put back there.  They are going to throw a whole lot of looks at them that they have yet to see.  The one way I can see Michigan winning or covering is if they can establish a very good run game and put pressure on Clausen, and force him to turn the ball over.  I just don't see this happening, with Clausen having so many security blankets.  Allen is  a great receiver out of the backfield and Rudolph is a tremendous TE that seems to always be open.  I don't think Notre Dame showed very much on offense in this game and they mixed it up extremely well which might confuse Michigan early.  Look for Notre Dame to jump out early force turnovers and Michigan should be playing catchup the entire game.  They showed the wildcat to an extent in the game against Nevada but will show it a lot more in this game which I think will open up a lot of things for them.

The defense might not be the greatest defense but we will not allow the big play.  We might allow big chunks of yards but will not although big touchdowns.  The thing they do well is adjusting to what the offense throws at them.  I've watched the ND/Nevada game 4 times now just trying to get more of a read on both teams actually for future betting.  But the thing I noticed was that they would allow chunks of yards but made very good open field tackles and were always flying to the ball.  Look for Notre Dame to have 3 people to the ball all game.  Its going to be a long day for the inexperienced QBs at Michigan
